Maximum Zen — Restaurant in Clarks Summit

First off I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you! You HAVE to try this place! Trust me!

I am the general manager at a local restaurant, one of our guests who had Father’s Day reservations, Their vegan granddaughter was celebrating her birthday on the same day, and she was wondering if we can create some kind of dessert with strawberries. At a previous workplace, I had a vegan guest who got their desserts from maximums zen, and spoke highly of them. Weekends are crazy for us, so I reached out to them the day before the cake was needed, Only to find out it was about an hour or so before they were to close! Most places would have quickly told you they’re closing, Not Donna. She simply told me to give her until between 5 PM and 5:30 PM and come pick it up! She stayed and made the cake and I came to find out after my boyfriend went to pick it up for me, that it was her son’s birthday that day and they had dinner plans! She Still offered to stay and make the cake! KUDOS to you, and I appreciate you more than words can say! Now let me talk about the product! I’ll start off by saying I did not expect this gluten-free and vegan cake to be very tasty! I mean it’s vegan and gluten free. Our guest’s granddaughter was so surprised and thrilled, she said it was the best cake she ever had! They had a large group at our brunch and all of them loved it! They offered me a slice, WOW am I glad I took it! BOY WAS I WRONG! It was AMAZING. Several of my staff members tried it as well! You have gained numerous new customers, oh, and my bartender will be calling you to get the same cake for his girlfriend’s birthday in a few weeks! My boyfriend and I cannot wait to stop up and try some of more of your delicious creations! Thank You again! Your customer service and your product are stellar! Maximum Zen cafe, located on Davis St, in the same building as Jaya Yoga, is an absolute oasis in Clarks Summit. This place is something special. The food - savory or sweet - is just outstanding. Everything is absolutely delicious, and, not only that, the textures are perfection which is not easy to do especially with her gluten free options. Her crusts are flaky, her cakes moist, her cookies crispy outside and soft inside, her sauces exquisite. I have eaten in many days in a row, taken out food for later to have with my family, and tried a huge array of things, and there was not anything that was not delicious. Don't miss this fabulous, warm, welcoming kitchen with from scratch foods literally just coming out of the oven in front of you, or cooling on the counter. The portions are just right, the prices are fair, the menu is delightful and unique and full of locally grown, quality ingredients. If Maximum Zen cafe was in NYC, the line would be around the block and Donna would be featured on magazine covers. Can't believe how lucky we are to have this gem in town! WOW! My boyfriend has been fully vegan 6 years and he said this was the best vegan food he’s ever had (he’s picky, too)! I can also say this was hands down some of the best vegan food I’ve ever had. I loved the owner. She is Australian and had a special Australian dessert when we went. The food was So good, we ordered more to go after our lunch to have it later for dinner😂. We live 2 hours away, we had been hungry and decided to stop off of the highway. Very random detour to this best place ever. We definitely will be driving back (2 hours) to eat here again!
