Everything Natural — Local services in Clarks Summit

Yea so below was my old five star review. What follows is my new review after believing they suspected me and my Mom of shoplifting. I may come back to this and shorten it as it is very disjointed. The tirade is emotionally fueled and I was crazy angry when writing it. For now, it stands.

I hope the owner sees this modification as he and his staff just treated me and my Mom like common shoplifters. They can back out of it all they want, every tactic was employed. I thought maybe I was being touchy until the owner dropped everything to check me out personally and ask me several questions about who had been with me and so on. That was the dead giveaway. Anyone who has been followed, accused with the eyes knows what I am talking about. .

Honestly, I debated walking back in there and confronting them. But what good would that have done? I sat in the car listening to the rain patter on the roof and window to calm down. I told myself they would just back out of it. No one ever wants to admit they suspected you. And they also never truly believe you didn't do anything.

I should mention that I did walk in with an empty redbull and empty coke bottle in my coat pockets. I brought them in as I thought they had a recycling container. Turns out the recycling container is about as imaginary as my future patronage.

I was in Everything Natural today shipping for my daughter's..they love the jewelry in there and I found two Chakra bracelets that I was going to get for them. I proceeded to walk around the store checking out all the unique and different items before making my way to the register when I noticed the gentleman following me aroundt he store. I have worked in retail most of my life..even assisted managed 2 very established retail chains...so I knew exactly what he was doing....I did neglect to see the sign that said to leave jewelry on the counter if you were continuing to shop but it would've been much more professional if he mentioned that to me right in the beginning ...instead he followed me around the while store and when I was upstairs he finally said something in a very condescending tone to me...So I took the necklaces and went back down towards the jewelry counter and proceeded to put them back.I was so uncomfortable that it honestly turned me off. I used to love shopping in this store but the staff has changed over the years and I haveto say I moss the old employees...I will NOT be returning . I want to promote small businesses this holiday but this is one establishment that O will not support...

I've loved shopping at Everything Natural Health Food Store for 25 years! At first, it was the only place to find gluten-free foods & high-quality supplements, within an hours drive of my home. I have gifts from the store that I received 15+ years ago that are still used & loved. And each time I worked, some of the new merchandise, teas, clothes, jewelry & food etc. came home with me.

Since the first time in the store, the staff and owners have been friendly & knowledgeable. When I stopped in for a snack, last year (Oct 2022), I landed a new part-time job. I loved the job immediately because of the wonderful customers, staff, & owners. It has been great joining this excellent team & getting to know the regulars.

So shop local, small business & enjoy outstanding customer service (I'm not biased really!), local & regional products, clean food, healthy personal care products, gifts, cards, frozen foods, raw milk & products, vegan foods...I could go on, but go see for yourself. Be sure to say "hi" if I'm working!

P.S. Occasionally, I teach children's yoga classes in the downstairs...
