2 South Brunch House — Restaurant in Clarkston

My husband and I have been coming about twice a month since we got married in September and we LOVE the food and service. Recently, I came with a friend on a Monday and the server we had, I believe her name was Maria but I’m not sure, she’s there 7 days a week, rushed our brunch and we hadn’t even been there an hour. She continuously came to the table to ask if we needed anything else in short amount of time. It was really uncomfortable and very obvious and my friend complained about it to a server that normally serves my husband and I and is AWESOME!

Today I came in with my husband and when he went to the bathroom, the server that we complained about approached me. She asked how I was doing and asked about my friend specifically. I said we were both good. She then stated that my friend complained about her and that she rushed us. And I said well you did rush us. She told me she did not rush us smiling and I said well you did, sorry. She then walked away.

It’s incredibly uncomfortable as a guest to complain about something legitimate, and I don’t normally say anything about service as a former waitress myself, and to come back in and be harassed by the waitstaff. Have to share a absolute awful experience today at the 2 South Brunch House restaurant on main in Clarkston. Patty's brother was in town visiting from Minnesota. We wanted to have breakfast with them before they were leaving for home. Patty and I arrived first and got a table for six. Patty's brother texted that they would be there in like 10-12 minutes. So I order a coffee and Patty had a coke while waiting at the table I went to the restroom and the manager or owner asked Patty how long before the others arrive. She said it would be a few minutes, and the women then said that if the rest of our party didn't arive soon we would have to give up our table. Now to make it more interesting there were empty tables around us and we had been there for less than 10 minutes. So a couple minutes later she came up and said you must leave. So we literally were kicked out. Unbelievable! Her brother literally got there and we had to direct him to another restaurant in town. Great way to show her brother downtown. I don't post crap like this ever, but this was completely unnecessary and rude and not sure why. Will...

Exceeded our expectations and then some. Arrived around 9:30am, place was packed, we got seated within about 5 minutes. The staff and cooks hustled the entire time, service was phenomenal very friendly and helpful explaining some of the “go to” menu items as this was out first time. The food was excellent, ordered the salmon everything bagel tasted perfect. Wife ordered the avocado everything bagel with a side of hollandaise sauce on the side which exceeded her expectations. We will be back!!

Owners are present and fully engaged into their customers, for only being open for 2 years it’s very impressive to sit at the bar while eating and see an obvious “regular”customer sit down next to you and be greeted by his first name. Best part is when he was asked if he wanted a menu he replied to one of the owners “ I trust you, just give me whatever you feel, everything is good!”

MUST order a side of their homemade potato hash, they cut fresh daily!!!!! So crispy...
