Brioni Cafe & Deli — Restaurant in Independence Charter Township

I went to Brioni's the other day for lunch because I heard such great things. I was immediately greeted and ordered a grilled chicken caesar salad and a coffee. After hanging out for 20 minutes I wondered why it was taking so long. I walked over to the counter and they asked me how it was??? I let them know that the coffee was great but didn't get my salad yet. They apologized immediately and gave me my money back (without me even asking). They also were going to make the salad but I asked if i could have something else, like a muffin, because I wouldn't have time to wait for it and eat it. They offered me a breakfast sandwich instead and a muffin. They kept apologizing even though I wasn't un happy. Food is great, Service is great, and I could not ask for more.. I recently moved to the area and to find a deli that not only taste good, but treat you like family as soon as you walk in to the door.. I was blown away!! I enjoyed this place throughly!

Now about the food. I had the reuben there and I thought it was pretty good compared to Union's (no offense taste just as good in their own unique way :)).. I've never tasted Arbys nor will I... I also had the chili soup very tasty definitely not from a can.. My wife had the potato cream soup which i tasted and very good.. My wife & I have been coming here for some time. However, the last couple times we've come here the experience has not been the greatest. First & foremost the sandwiches and portions are getting smaller, while prices just seem to be going up. We paid $38 for two sandwiches, which I might add were very small in size. Mine barely had any meat on it, and my wife's chicken salad was not even visible from under the bread. She was not happy and suggested we take a break from coming here for a while.
