Loved this place! Can't believe such a nice bed and breakfast is so close to home and we had never tried it before. We stayed in the 1842 Suite which is upstairs but with an outside staircase entrance and it's own private balcony, pretty neat! We will have to come back when the weather is nice and take advantage of sitting outside. The room is spacious with room to get in with all your bags and get your boots off without tripping over each other. We only stay in places with a hot tub, it's my husband's favorite thing! The hot tub is a bit of a walk but it is tucked away in the back yard and very nice, clean, and hot, no complaints at all! The bed is super comfortable and felt really big with lots of pillows. They thought of everything and we had everything we needed. The shower was hot, the hair dryer worked great, makeup remover wipes, plenty of towels. The Keurig was nice with lots of coffee tea and creamer options. We took advantage of the mini fridge for our fruit and cheese and our dinner leftovers but I don't think we used the microwave. We will definitely be back!

We stayed in the Clark Suite for 4 nights . Room was extremely clean and welcoming. I had great communication with Annie and she was available for any concerns or questions we had . Very convenient and close to great restaurants and shops , 10 minute walk . Great little seating area on the property to enjoy your coffee and listen to the birds . Main Street has a lot of traffic but no road noise in the room . Bed was comfortable, kitchen is equipped with anything you will need . Barbecue onsite you can use . We ate at Union Woodshop , Honcho , Bologna all excellent. We shopped in little town of Holly great little shops and 4 Antique stores , nice little Ice Cream shop there as well . We came from Minnesota, and will be back !

Phenomenal people who run a phenomenal B & B! Exceptional made-to-order breakfast comes with well appointed and extremely clean and well maintained [5] individually appointed rooms. You won't be disappointed!

My boyfriend and I stayed here at the Millpond Inn for one night while we were in town for a concert. This was our very first Bed & Breakfast experience and we loved every bit of it! Joan was so friendly and accommodating. She treats her guests like family and takes great pride in her home, which is extremely clean and comfortable. We stayed in the Jon Abbott room and it was so beautiful and relaxing. We had a gorgeous en suite bathroom and we were surprised to find out that Joan did all the bathroom renovations herself. She did a fantastic job! Our bedroom even had it's own private porch. The yard was very well maintained, with beautiful landscaping, cute decorations and bird houses, as well as a pond and sitting area. The shared living area was cozy and nicely decorated, with plenty of reading material (including information about the area). There was a variety of drinks, snacks, and homemade cookies available for guests. We felt right at home. Joan is amazing at what she does and we would love to come back someday. We weren't up early enough for breakfast so she made us bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches and wrapped them up for us. When we finally got around to eating them a couple hours later, they were delicious! I can only imagine how good the rest of her homemade breakfast foods are. As we were checking out, we enjoyed talking to Joan for a bit and learning about the history of her home, as well as the inspiration behind the Jon Abbott room. I loved staying at the Millpond Inn and I would highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast! Thank you, Joan, for giving us such...

I was looking for a place to stay between Troy and Flint because of a crazy rehearsal schedule and work (instead of driving back and forth to Windsor for a week) and most hotel search sites were bringing up results in Auburn Hills or Flint. I ended up for this because the other motel in Clarkston didn't have a room available for me for the whole duration and boy am I glad that I stayed here. Joan is super nice. And VERY accomodating. I told her I wasn't really a breakfast person, so she made me a breakfast sandwich to go instead. If I asked for bacon and they didn't have it the one day, sure enough, next day, there'd be bacon. Mention to her that cider is low, and there'd be a new jug in the fridge the next day. Her fruit salad is delicious - made fresh every day. I don't think that I can stand the big chain hotels and their "free" continental breakfasts anymore now that I've been to a PROPER B&B. The room was immaculate. So comfortable. And people who've stayed there always go back and I can definitely attest to that!

She takes VERY good care of you. And her husband Buck - the two of them have great stories from all the people they've met over the years. She makes her 12-14 hours worth of work prepping the house look easy, but my God the attention to detail. Superb! The big chains can definitely learn a thing or two about how to treat and take care of their guests. I know where I'm staying the next time I...
