Amicia's Creole Cuisine — Restaurant in Clarkston

Ever since I moved to ATL, I’ve been on the hunt for where my people are and some good food. I literally called them today to place an order for pickup because I know Haitian food takes a while to cook, and I was also driving 40 minutes to get there. I just wanted to go in, grab my food, and go.

The lady on the phone told me they don’t take orders online and that there was no wait for any of the food. I asked, “Are you sure?” and she said, “Yes, come in and they’ll serve you.”

Why did I just drive all the way over here, go inside, and wait to be served, just to be told they’re closed—an hour before the time stated online? I just wish they had updated their hours so I wouldn’t have wasted my time and gas driving all the way here for nothing.

I gave the rating a 2 since I didn’t get the chance to try the food. I was told I could come in, only to be told they were closed, which is very disappointing—but the place...

Let me praise this restaurant right quick!!! As a Haitian woman It has been hard to find a good Haitian restaurant with great customer service. I was so pleased on how patient and nice they were to the point I had to call the restaurant and give them their flowers because I was very impressed. I will definitely be back!!! And the food was good, I wish the fish was bigger but It was still a decent size. The rice was so tasty, I usually don’t eat jasmine rice but they washed and cook that rice to perfection! I also had got their homemade mango passion fruit juice and It was delicious! Thank you for changing that narrative of “all Haitian restaurants have bad customer service”, keep up the good work. I gave them 5 star because the food was delicious, but his is my 1st and last visit, because they tried to charge me for my drink again, that i had already paid for up front. i told the cashier/waitress that i wanted the green plaintain [tostones], when i got to my car, they'd given me fried yellow plaintains, which i threw out my window, because they qere not good.
