Very mediocre experience. First time weâve dined in at tomato bros, but weâve gotten takeout before.
Prices are too high for the quality and portions of the food. The food isnât bad but itâs not great either. The portion sizes arenât tiny, but theyâre not very large.
We got the Fettuccine Alfredo and the Margarita pizza. The pizza was okay, very minimal cheese on it, but the dough was good. We got it with the red sauce as recommended by the server, and Iâm glad we did because otherwise it wouldâve been just tomatoes and a few pieces of mozzarella.
The pasta left much to be desired. The sauce tasted like a jarred sauce and it was a small portion. The flavor was below Applebees, which is disappointing to say the least. Iâd expect an Italian restaurant to serve a better pasta than a chain restaurant. It also comes with âtable breadâ which we never received. Now that Iâm reading other reviews that seems to be a recurring theme.
I donât know if the more complex dishes are better, but I have a hard time believing theyâre worth trying when the simple dishes were so mid.
After tip it was over $30 a person. In my opinion, the quality of the food did not warrant the price. We have spent less at Bravaâs and the food was...

A friend had recommended this place to us, so we checked it out online. We were pleased to find them still open and even more pleased to see that they were offering a late night happy hour. The place was busy, and a bit loud, but the service was spot on. We decided not to do drinks, so we could get some sleep, and just ordered food. My wife ordered: Baked Garlic Shrimp Tender shrimp, sautéed with garlic butter, spinach, bread crumbs, & sun dried tomatoes. Baked to order in our wood fire oven and served with bread According to our server, sorry I forget her name, this dish was added about four months ago. Well we hope that it stays. The taste was simply amazing! I ordered: Hot Wings All the taste without the mess. The heat is in the breading. Served with ranch for dippin' At first glance I was thinking that these didn't look like anything special. However, when I took my first bit I was surprised by the crispy skin, which had a little bit of spice, and the juicy meat. I had my wife try one and she had the same reaction as I did. Definitely worth...
Read moreOur server was very perky and polite, carried a good conversation, and was largely attentive. We didn't get our kiddo sized ice cream that was supposed to be with his meal, but in fairness when we realized it wasn't coming we didn't mention it cuz our kiddo was done sitting down at that point. The meal was bites & bites for me, and baked cheese ravioli for her. For $30, you get 4 pieces of mushroom, 4 pieces of breaded steak (each piece is 2 to 3 comfortable mouthful), a small cup of soup, baked potato, and some sautéed veggies. Everything tasted good, but the meat and mushroom main portion seemed a little small for the price tag. Her cheese ravioli was slightly less expensive and came with a salad. The ravioli was around 12 to 15 pieces, so each ravioli was around a dollar. We like the nostalgia of eating at Tomato Brothers, as it's where we had our first date. Given the servers are usually very good, it's kinda quirky, and you get to draw at your table, it's still a fun stop. Drink menu is pretty good here also, with a variety of mixed drinks and wines. Keep in mind specials like "wine down Wednesdays" and half price appetizers during happy hour to stretch your...
