Hello, I'm sharing this review because I was extremely disrespected from my server Jesus (this name is on the receipt) on Wednesday, 7/31 during my visit for lunch and I don't want this to happen to a customer in the future.
I'm business traveler and I enjoy dining at an authentic Mexican restaurant when I travel aboard and I found this location about 2 weeks when I was in town for work and decided to have dinner by myself. I had a great experience during my visit. I had Carne Asada which was full of favor, very fresh, and tasty. The server did a great job asking and refilling my ice tea and I finished my meal completely. Great food! I thought, this would be a great place to revisit. Satisfied customer!
BUT TODAY....
I returned for business purposes and I asked two of my colleagues to have lunch with me and that I know a great Mexican restaurant near our hotel we can go to. We made plans to meet there at 11am since we're coming from two different locations. Deal.
My colleagues arrived first and was already seated with water, chips and salsa. Prefect time I thought. I begin to join them in the booth and just sat down when the serve took one look at me and begin to say, "HEY, YOU ARE THE ONE WHO ORDER FOOD, TOOK IT, AND DIDN'T PAY"! He began to repeat it again and I didn't quite understand him because of his accent and he said it again. At this time, I thought and look at my colleagues and said "This must be a joke", but when I realize the serve was serious I begin to explain to him that I not the guy you're looking for. So being the lighthearted person that I am, I said "MAYBE THERE IS SOME OTHER AFRICAN AMERICAN (BLACK)PERSON IN THIS TOWN THAT LOOK LIKE ME BUT I NOT THE GUY WHO DIDN'T PAY". Well, the serve was soooo adamant that I was the guy that he went to the back to find the ticket for the food he said I didn't pay for. I begin to wonder if we should leave the restaurant because I was being accused of stealing.
The serve returned but couldn't find the ticket so I begin to tell him again that he had the wrong person and I felt disrespected and needed to talk with his manager. He told me that there was no manager on site and so I said I needed to talk with someone but he refuse to grant my wish. I told him that as a customer that his service to me was poor and I should have to defend myself this way. I felt no relief from the exchange.
He finally apologized after about 10 minutes of being catch in him accusing me. I didn't have a good feeling after that and it showed on the meal I ordered which I should have taken I picture of it. Unacceptable, but being a humble person and having lunch with my colleagues, I held my peace so that could enjoyed their meals.
I ordered 2 Chicken Enchilada meal which normally comes with bean, rice, and a little cheese on the top plus a lettuce/tomatoes to garnish. NO CHEESE NO LETTUCE/TOMATOES. I was disappointed while still holding my peace. Though I did wondered why I desire this type of treatment....
We finished our lunch and requested our ticket and I was surprised that the server didn't give me at least a discount for accusing me of stealing food, wait, that would be like true customers service. I took the bill and pay the full price plus tip because two wrongs don't make a right and I serve a GOD is more then able to give me double for my troubles.
I wrote on Jesus's (server) bill copy the following; "I FORGIVE YOU" AND "BE BLESSED".
I hope this review finds meaning with the ones who were wrongly accused. GOD GOT YOU!
Blessings, Business Traveler from...
Read moreI Love this restaurant. It's truly authentic Mexican food.. Not good Mexican fast food like some other local sit down restaurants. I am used to Sonoran Mexican food and this is not that. I am not sure where in Mexico this is local other than farther South. The staff and managers are terrific. Service is outstanding. They offer a great variety of dishes and even have good food for vegetarian diners. I have heard from my daughter's very particular friend that they also serve the Best burgers in the LC Valley but I have never ordered one. I Love the enchiladas de espinacas. Before I was vegetarian I often enjoyed the chimichangas. The meat is fresh and the salads and vegetable parts of the plate are always crispy fresh and I love the refried beans the way they make them here. They make their own chips which you will enjoy as soon as you sit down and you will be able to enjoy not only standard pop and water, but delicious lemonade and coffee and yes, they do serve alcoholic beverages. They will treat you like a guest in their home and you will leave satisfied, and likely...
Read moreWent in at 815 last night (Sunday) with our two kids. As soon as we sat down they brought us waters and chips and salsa. Before we could dip a chip, the server was there asking what we wanted, my boyfriend said"oh gives us just a minute" the server then replied "well we close in 20 minutes".. So we hurry and scramble through the kids menu and pick out something for ourselves. As our food was being made I looked at my phone to see it was 820... So the server essentially just told us they close at 840...? That's odd the door says 9. We get our food and I realize my burrito was not chicken but Carne asada and my boyfriends was chicken. So we switched, only to realize we had the exact same burritos just different meats when we in fact ordered two totally different burritos. After we took two bites of our burritos and the kids ate 2 chicken nuggets we were presented with boxes and a check... At 840... Overall very dissatisfied and wish we would have went to Sinola the new restaurant on diagnol. Definitely won't be back to Paraiso after...
