Blackhorse Pub & Brewery - A Story of Friendship and Fate in Clarksville Tucked away in the heart of Clarksville, Tennessee, there’s a little pub that feels like a warm hug on a cold night. Its name? Blackhorse Pub & Brewery. It’s the kind of place where the wood panels creak with stories, the walls whisper secrets of laughter past, and the blended scent of beer, alcohol, and sizzling burgers welcomes every guest like an old friend. The pub’s charm isn’t just in its decor. It’s the people. The staff at Blackhorse Pub & Brewery offering not just expert drink pairings but also advice, jokes, and the occasional life lesson. One Tuesday night, just as the golden glow of the streetlamps outside began melting into the Tennessee evening, two newly found friends walked in. Friends for a whopping three weeks, they were the kind of duo that turned any quiet night into a memory worth keeping. They settled into their barstools, ordering rounds of bourbon and plates of food. The night rolled on with laughter, sports debates, life experiences and the occasional good-natured argument over who had the better stories. When it came time to pay, one smirked and pulled out his credit card. “I got this one.” The other scoffed. “Like hell you do.” He slapped his own card on the counter. Then both their eyes lit up with an idea. “How about we make it interesting? Let fate decide.” The bartender was intrigued and said “And what exactly does that mean?” They both taked turns explaining “We both give you our cards, you shuffle them behind the bar, and without looking, you pick one. That person pays the whole bill. No complaints, no take-backs.” The bartender laughed, shaking his head. “You guys are something else... Let's do this!" He took the two cards and gave them a good shuffle behind the counter while saying "I'm kinda nervous". Many people at and around the bar watched, eyes twinkling with anticipation. Even one of the waitresses paused mid-order to peek over 😂 The bartender held up one card and and said something along of the lines of he has a feeling this is the one. And so, Blackhorse Pub & Brewery had another story to add to its collection. A night of good drinks, great friends, and a little bit of luck—just as it always should be! Definitely a great stop when in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Last Saturday night I visited “Blackhorse” with my friends & we had such a good dining experience that ofc I had to leave a review for this place! We waited for like 15min to get a table (6 of us plus one kid) everything was really nice. The food was absolutely rico ricoooooo, every dish we ordered was really good, my top dish from all the ones we ordered was the spinach dip cheese (I hope I got the name right) but omg it was just exquisite & the flatbread that comes with it… wow! I highly recommend to get that one as an appetizer too, is a 10 out of 10! Our visit there was really nice but it was most part of the waiter who also happens to be an artist! His service was above & beyond to make sure we had a good time at this restaurant, our waiter was very friendly, attentive and very helpful when it comes to order a good meal, he help us with the tops recommendations. He also kept us updated about our plates & apologizing when one of the plates was a little bit late, & explaining why it was late, which we really appreciated, especially when kids are coming (kids are always hungry haha!) The restaurant is also very kid-friendly. We came with my 2-year-old niece, and she had a great time too with her tias & mommy, always a plus for families looking for a nice spot to eat out together. The only reason why I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 of the ambiance is because I found the lighting a bit too dim, which made the place feel darker than I’d prefer (this is just my personal preference). But other than that… Highly recommend checking it out!! (For 3 of us & a kid our check was $85)

2/1/23, came back again while family was visiting. Cajun and heart attack pizza we’re amazing, bursae’s spot out were great, beer cheese is always good. Only thing was our waitress stunk, didn’t know what kind of soups they had to offer even after multiple visits…not much options in Clarksville, food is good, drinks are good, just not the smartest service in the industry….can I have some more beer cheese? Yeah let me charge you $12 extra dollars for another squirt of beer cheese…brutal service, incompetent and not ver knowledgeable…Rachel was our service, if you get her just cash out and run.. Wanted to say something nice about this place based on all the good reviews, but not much to say. Atmosphere was alright but got sat upstairs by ourselves with no music and baseball on tv. Started with soups and drinks. Soups were straight Campbell's out of the can tasting. Potatoes soup was basically mashed potatoes. Lumberjack soup was Campbell's vegetable soup. Food took forever and when we got it was basically cold. Noone in the family liked anything. Sad and feel bad but shucks....chicken sandwich was way undercooked, steak way overcooked, and even the salads were soggy and drenched in sour tasting dressing. Might try to come here again for pizza but other places around way better ... Dock 17, Thirsty Goat, and King Bluff all included....and why is the host wearing basketball shorts and a stained shirt!??? Only positive thing was the waiter, Christian, was super polite and really nice.

I heard a lot of hype about this establishment, so we popped in for a visit. It's a really busy place. We had about a 15-minute wait to get a seat on a Friday lunch service. The server was adequate, nothing special. She did keep my glass full while I ate. I ordered the Cowboy Burger. It's okay. The only problem I had with it was there were a lot of toppings on that sandwich. It's just difficult to keep everything on the bun. Remember, Tink said, "Sometimes, less is more." The potato was okay. I ate all of the meal, but it really didn't match the hype. Atmosphere. Let me just say I'm at the entry point of old age. When I was much younger, we could go into a restaurant and expect a peaceful experience void of hearing profanity, usually. Not always, but usually. It seems to be the standard today for loud profanity in a public place. I hear it all the time. In those good old days, my elders or a staffer in the restaurant would have intervened, and the boisterous youth would have been silenced in shame. I won't get into why things are different now. I will say that the table behind me was overly loud and their speech profane. While I refuse public confrontation for unspoken reasons, I still expect the business to sideline such behavior. This is a disappointment. I'll likely go back at some point. Hopefully, it will be a little better next time.

We dinned here on a Saturday, there was a 30-45 minute wait, so we went upstairs to their Tap room to wait and get drinks. We were seated in 30mins, ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes for appetizer and loved it. Also the jelly that came with it was delicious. My husband ordered Hangover Burger which was made and done perfectly. I ordered the Regular Classic burger and it was definitely delicious too. Best place to get fresh beef burgers. The sweet potato fries were perfectly made, crispy and delicious too. Our meal was served within 20min of ordering, hot and ready to munch on. Pretty impressed since it was a full house that night. We ordered the big cookie for dessert and it was also perfectly baked crispy in the corners, gooey and with melted chocolate in the center. Our server Scott was awesome, always made an effort to ask how we were doing as he passed us, even with his hands full! For a full house, we never felt forgotten nor did we have to ask if our meal was ready or for a refill because Scott made sure to always tell us how things were going. Only negative was the noise, it was pretty loud downstairs where we dinned, louder than upstairs where the Tap room was. But it makes sense since it was a full house and still enjoyed the experience, service and food.
