We came here because my daughter had a gift certificate. Based on previous reviews, I was expecting incompetent service, but surprisingly, all employees were working very hard the whole time. However, the line was out the door, so there was no way the workers could slack off at a time lack that. Cold Stone really does have great ice cream even if it is super expensive. It cost me almost $50 for a family of 5 to get ice cream! I'm rating our visit a 4 star because the Cold Stone business model seems inefficient. When we arrived, about 10 people were waiting in front of us and some people were getting out of line and leaving because of the long wait. By the time we ordered, the line was out the door. There is no reason Cold Stone can't come up with a way to streamline the ordering process. Maybe have people take orders at the door or set up automated ordering machines or hire more people to work. One problem I noticed was that with our family of 5, each of the five orders was taken by a different employee. Some of the orders had three toppings, some had two toppings, some had two different ice cream flavors, and some were the Cold Stone creations. It took a while to order. But then when we got to the end of the line, we had to try to remember and explain everything we ordered AGAIN to the lady at the register. Automating this process could greatly...
Read moreMy wife and I went to the store on Tiny Town on 05/03/2020 near 11:30 AM. There were only two people working, a man and a woman. While the man was making my ice cream he got on his phone and was going extremely slow. He was very distracted on his phone and was getting my ice cream ready very quickly while he was doing it. My ice cream was melting while he was making it due to how slow he was going. The lady asked him if he could make a shake/smoothie when he was finished with my order so she could write Happy Birthday on a cake. The man continued to leave my ice cream on the counter and pull out a blender. He then slowly put my ice cream in the bowl and forgot to give it to me in the cup. He went back to the blender while still on his phone the whole time before finally giving me my cup of ice cream. This service was terrible and the owner of the store/or a manager should review any video regarding this type of service to see what took place. Not recommended to go if this individual is working in the store and you want your ice cream served to you when it is not...
Read moreTo sum up my experience: service was poor, sizes were small for the price, quality of the product was underwhelming, and our ice cream was melting EVERYWHERE before leaving the parking lot. I asked for a lid for my toddler's ice cream cup prior to leaving and the staff rolled their eyes before providing the lid. The cookie in my ice cream was tougher than nails and tasted burnt. Won't be back. UPDATE: I received a message from Coldstone stating something to the effect of "Sorry to hear about my experience but the customer can always ask to have an item re-made." Why would I want to ask for the same item twice when the first was subpar? Why would I sit there while waiting for new cookies to be baked? Wait for the ice cream to freeze more? The condescending customer service was the initial reason I was upset as I most likely would not have posted a review had it not been for that. How about you just accept responsibility instead of deflecting your problems onto...
