Update Review: Second Visit After my first visit, which wasn’t great, the restaurant kindly sent me a $25 gift card to try again. I appreciated that gesture and hoped things would improve. Unfortunately, this second visit wasn’t much better. This time i switched it up from a burger and I ordered the turkey BBQ sandwich with fries and mac & cheese. The turkey was barely warm and was room temp at best in the center (I checked the food in the car right after it was bagged and handed to me) I had to microwave it once I got home. The fries were undercooked, soggy and far too salty, just like my first visit. The mac & cheese was okay but nothing memorable. I can think of a few fast food places with way better Mac and cheese. The one consistent bright spot is the cheese muffins, which continue to be the best part of the meal, but even those aren’t enough to redeem the overall experience. Between two separate visits, I’ve had cold food, soffy burgers, soggy/overly salty fries, and generally underwhelming sides. While the staff did attempt to make things right the first time, the food quality simply doesn’t measure up to the price or expectations. Sadly, even with the gift card, I don’t see myself returning. First visit review: This was our first visit, and unfortunately it wasn’t a great experience. We ordered to-go. I got a burger with fries and an extra side of coleslaw. The first burger I received was soaking wet. The bun was paper-thin and falling apart. I called and they remade it, which I appreciated, but the second one still wasn’t great, they forgot the pickles the second time (my favorite part of a burger aside from the beef), and the patty itself was very small, more like a fast food burger than what I’d expect from a sit-down BBQ place. Honestly, I’ve had a better burger at Sonic. The first order of fries I got was soggy but at least seasoned well and actually pretty tasty. When they remade the burger, they also replaced the fries, but the second order of fries were both soggy and so salty they were inedible. The coleslaw was also unpleasant to me, with a strong, almost onion-like flavor I couldn’t place. Maybe some people like it, but I couldn’t eat it. My wife got a pulled pork plate with mac & cheese and collard greens. She said the pulled pork was decent, the greens were okay, but the mac & cheese was lackluster. The cheese muffins were probably the best part, but even those were only slightly tasty. Everything just seemed super basic and fast-food quality overall. Which I guess makes sense as they have a drive thru. For a first visit, we were very disappointed. The staff did try to fix some issues, but the food quality just wasn’t what we expected especially for the price.

Probably one of the best bbq chains I’ve gone too. Those cornbread muffins were brought to our table warm and they were delicious. I ordered the 3 meat trio and upgraded two of the meats to ribs and brisket with baked beans and potato salad. The other meat was the Carolina pulled pork. My wife ordered the regular pulled pork with mac n cheese. The ribs had all the smoke with a nice smoke ring and good flavor. Nothing needed to be added. The pulled pork on the other hand didn’t have much flavor outside the spicy (more mild) vinegar sauce. It tasted more oven baked than smoked. But I will say they didn’t give much bark, mostly inside meat. However, if done properly, even the inside meat should still be a little more smokey flavored. The brisket was tender with a nice bark. I asked for marbled, but like the pulled pork it lacked the smokey flavor. It was still decent. Overall the food was enjoyable. We also got a banana pudding that was really good. My only two complaints were that the pulled pork had bone shards in it. That can be quite dangerous for someone as pulled pork shouldn’t have bone in it at all. My wife and I both pulled them out our mouths as we were eating. One was pretty sharp. The 2nd complaint was flies. We are inside and we’re fanning flies away the entire time. One landed in my wife’s drink and of course we were given another cup quickly. The staff was great though. Super friendly and attentive.

UPDATE 4/26/25....... I reached out to Jim n Nick's by email, as instructed by the owner, because of my previous review....unfortunately, my review isn't changing. My husband & I both ordered chicken tenders & fries, thinking you can't mess up tenders, well I guess you can. They were really crispy & large in size, but NO SEASONING! Very bland, flavorless tenders. My husband did like the biscuits, but they were just ok to me. I'm glad for the business that others really like it, but we won't be going back. In my opinion, anything on the menu should be good & we've been twice & what we had wasn't good. Overrated. All the wait & the food was fair. The brisket potato was large in size, so there's plenty of it, but it's flavorless, in my opinion. We had to add seasonings & bbq when we got home. My husband had the cheeseburger. We hoped it would have a smokey bbq flavor, but it was a regular cheeseburger, nothing special. We won't be going back.

I had a craving for ribs tonight. My husband whipped out his ole trusty phone and asked Google for the best BBQ in Clarksville. So off we went to see if it really was the best.

I will start with placing the order, she was kind, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Because we had never been she gave us a sampling of the slaw (which was amazing). We found our table and waited. A server brought out a tray of cheesy biscuits...but these were no ordinary biscuits. They were almost as if sweet cornbread and cheesy biscuits had babies. They were moist, sweet and so good.

Our food was delivered quite fast. I had the 3 meat tray (yes I am that indecisive) with pulled pork, brisket, and spare ribs with all sauces on the side, with sides of baked beans and that amazing slaw. Let me just say; this plate of food was so good that I didn't want to stop eating. The BBQ sauce is sweet and smoky, the mustard sauce there aren't words, and the Carolina sauce is a vinegary spice that just blends with the meats. The slaw is made with a creamy vinaigrette sauce that is delicious!

My husband had pulled chicken and smoked turkey. He also had the mustard sauce on the side and absolutely was amazed at how good it tasted. He also had baked beans and Mac n cheese. He couldn't stop going on and on about the pulled chicken and mac. He liked the turkey but was in chicken heaven.

My son-in-law had the pulled chicken nachos (this platter was huge and would have fed 2 people). Of course I had to sample, I mean what kind of mother-in-law doesn't lol. Actually, we were all sampling each other's food so we knew next time what to get. Those nachos were awesome. I will have those next time.

My daughter was afraid to get too bold so she had a pulled pork sandwich with sides. It had no sauce and she was sad at first. I gave her some of my mustard sauce and she was in love.

At least 3 servers were checking on us the whole time to be sure we had all that we needed.

All in all this place is an absolute must on the list of places to go. If you want some really amazing BBQ with lots of meat options, you HAVE to go to Jim 'N Nick's. I just can't say enough about how this while experience turned out. Fabulous good and even...

To start, customer service was great(10/10). We went through the drive thru and Everyone was friendly and professional. I went out of town and came back and there was a bbq place. As long as consistency continues this place will stay busy! The food was on point. Service was fast, friendly, and accurate. We got the feast with pulled pork and the Carolina mustard sauce and classic bbq. They were both delicious. The mustard sauce(9/10) was the perfect blend of sweet, mustard, and pepper. The classic(8.2/10) does have a little but delightful heat behind it and a nice blend of vinegar and sweet and I’m not too certain they don’t smoke it it had a smokiness to it. My preference is the mustard sauce. Hoping to try the white bbq in the future. The sides were amazing. Baked beans 10/10! They didn’t just have beans, it was beans, brisket, and pulled pork from what I could tell and it had the perfect amount of finely chopped green peppers to give it the green pepper taste without overpowering the dish. The Mac n cheese(9.25/10) was cheesy and moist and the cheese sauce consistency paired with the chunks of melty, what I assume, was cheddar. It was a tiny bit on the bland side, like could use some pepper or paprika but I contributed that to it being a simple Mac because they offer the Mac with the bbq meats in it. The potato salad(9.75/10) had a light mustard flavor and boiled eggs which I love in my potato salad. I honestly ate it too fast to see what else was in it. It was seasoned perfectly. My only critique really isn’t a critique more of my own personal preference, this was a potato salad with more of a mashed consistency rather than whole chunks of boiled potatoes. The lemonade had some other flavors more than just lemon, it was good though. I’d stop by just for one of those. I also got the baked potatoes with the chopped chicken. It seemed to lack moisture and not nearly enough butter or sour cream or even cheese. And wasn’t salted or peppered at all. If I order this again I’d get it with extra toppings. The chicken had a generous portion and was very moist and really had a nice bbq...
