Let me start by saying this place was in an odd location with only a small sign by the road to let you know it was somewhere near there. After finding out where it was walking in I thought I landed in the wrong place but a small chalk board sign said I was in The right place. They had a wood burning glass going on plus their flight of coffee with it idk. After figuring out how to order. It took forever to order. Once we did my kids and I tried their flight of coffee (Mocha, caramel, vanilla, and pumpkin spice) coffee came out fast. The pumpkin spice was nice not too sweet lots flavor the dollop on top had the perfect sweetness. With all the coffee I didn't care for the water down flavor of the coffee. The mocha had a nice chocolaty flavor. The caramel was sweet but not too sweet and the vanilla was probably my favorite oddly enough. The Cubano, the slight saltiness of the ham and salami was delicious but the pulled (shredded) pork had a sweetness but not too muchthe combination of the salt sweet and sour was spot on. Would go back for that.
The biscuits sandwich had Virginia ham, cheese and a over medium egg. The biscuit was soft bit not crumbly. The ham was again good not too salty. It all went well together I had a side of fresh fruit (blackberry, raspberry, and green grapes)
The Croque madam was loaf bread, Swiss cheese, ham, a creamy mornay and a runny egg. My kids absolutely loved it the Mornay was a great addition to the sandwich, bread was toasted really well but all and all the sandwiches fillings all complimented eachother nothing over powdered one or the other. The hashbrown casserole was creamy the parts that had the cheese was the best parts in my opinion. The parfait had a Greek yogurt (sour) and the freshly made fruit sauce was good not sweet (probably would have been better if it were sweet to cut down the sourness of the yogurt) the crunch granola was pretty good. Not sweet either.. The cinnamon roll hmmmm what can I say about that. It wasn't the best but it was super bad either. It had a good amount of cinnamon the part that I had was dry and the cream icing was very runny (watery) The best thing was the Cubano. The owner was really friendly....service took well over an hour... all in all I'll try the...
Read morePictures still not posting stand by I’ll update with photos later.. Wild Flour Bake Shop is a charming and cozy cafe tucked away in what seems to be an industrial area of Tennessee. Despite its surprising location, this hidden gem is well worth the visit. Traveling all the way from California, I chose this spot based on its Yelp reviews, and it exceeded every expectation.
First and foremost: banana bread French toast. Just four words, but they sum up an unforgettable dish that was as visually stunning as it was delicious. The rich, moist banana bread was perfectly griddled, then topped with just the right amount of sweetness to create a heavenly combination of flavors. It’s a must-try item that alone justifies the trip.
The Cuban sandwich was impressive. Made with shredded pork, Virginia ham, Genoa salami, Swiss cheese, mayo/mustard, and dill pickles, it was a flavorful masterpiece. I’ve had my fair share of Cuban sandwiches, including in Miami, but this one was better—bold, & savory.
Another standout was the Pimento and Bacon Grilled Cheese, which was packed with rich, smoky flavor. The combination of creamy pimento cheese and crispy bacon created a satisfying sandwich that felt indulgent yet comforting. The Hangover Bowl was another delightful surprise—hearty and packed with bold breakfast flavors, perfect for starting the day right.
A special shoutout goes to our waitress, Jasmarie (apologies if I misspelled her name). She was sweet, attentive, and happy to offer helpful suggestions, making the experience even more enjoyable.
If you haven’t visited Wild Flour Bake Shop yet, stop by—you’re in for a treat. This place deserves much more recognition for its incredible food, warm atmosphere, and excellent service. It’s a place I’ll be thinking of until my next visit...
Read moreUPDATE: Went back a few weeks later and Oh My Gosh! I am in love with this place! I had the cinnamon french toast again, because i couldnt wait to have it again! It was just as good as before! I also ordered the pulled pork sandwich which was very nice - i liked the pickles in it and it came with a bag of crisps (chips). My husband also ordered the Cinnamon French toast as well because he liked it so much before. He also had the brisket hash which was SO good - I tried it... and that was my favorite this time. I hope they have it again next time I go. Good food makes me so happy. Again the food came out so fast which I appreciate. Service was friendly and excellent as usual. The seating is minimal however it's nice that it doesn't get crowded. Ask about their Sunday dinners - apparently you can order in advance and pick up food to go on a Sunday.
That's all :)
Went for brunch/lunch with my husband. I LOVED it! Very easy going atmosphere. It is family friendly. The service was exceptional. Everyone was really sweet. I was actually surprised at how little we had to wait for food, it came out so fast! We ordered: Shrimp and grits Chicken salad sandwich Cinnamon roll French toast And another sandwich (can't remember the name now). Yes, I know it sounds like alot, but we couldn't make up our minds so we wanted to try 2 dishes each. All options were delicious! Appropriate size of dishes too. The prices were fair. Can't wait to go back and take my friends. They had disposable plates and silverware which didn't...
