We visited the Cottage Barn recently and were not impressed. The shop itself is more representative of a backwoods flea market with a mish-mash of oddball furniture, and we did not enjoy their ice cream at all.

My boyfriend and I ordered are go-to favorite flavors. I had a scoop of birthday cake, and it was way too sweet with a very large creamy ribbon of frosting mixed throughout. I couldn't finish my little scoop and I probably got more frosting than ice cream. My boyfriend had a scoop each of peanut butter and cookie dough. The peanut butter didn't have any actual peanut butter flavor and the cookie dough was just bland and blah. Honestly, I could understand if one of those three flavors was maybe not the greatest, but all three?

There are not too many places where you can check out the latest washers and dryers (a hobby of mine) and also eat the finest ice cream on the planet- blueberry cheesecake flavor please step forward! If you can't make the trek to Homestead Creamery in Wirtz, VA- the birthplace of the Barn's cream, then grab yours here @ the Barn! Ice cream does not get any better than the blueberry cheesecake flavor! If you're allergic to blueberries or cheesecake eat it anyway! I can't think of a better way to go! We were here for Memorial Day weekend, I made it a mission to stop in here at least once over our 3 day stay.
