Please, labor board, come get this place! They pay their servers 2.13 an hour, and then expect them to tip 30 percent of their tips to the cooks!!! Then..the usual 5 percent to the bartender and bussers. Is there any left for the server!?!!!!! All of this is illegal. They have a constant turnover of wait staff because the owner is a misogynist and favors his "cooks" as "kings" over all others. This business model is a joke. The portions are stingy and overpriced. Your server, it's probably her first and last day on the job, or it's her first job because she is a kid and doesn't know any better. They are taking serious advantage of these young people, and it's not right! Spend your hard earned money somewhere else. Somewhere they actually care about their staff. Somewhere you get better value for your dollar. Somewhere you won't get food poisioning. Well. The ambiance of the place is pretty chill and looks nice. Unfortunately, when the waitress brought me my food, I noticed that the noodles were super rubbery, the chicken was cold, just had an old appearance in general ( warm at best). After about 4 bites, the waitress comes back and informs me that she brought me a order that had been made quite some time ago and that my real food had been made and I could swap them out. In all honesty, I just wanted to know why the old order was even brought to me. See as I ate old order I noticed the staff looking at me as if they knew something wrong and when she came out asking if I wanted a fresh order, it was confirmed. I refused the second order and didn’t cause a scene because I’m a pretty chill dude in general ( as my gf walked out the restaurant in anger) and just wanted to leave as soon as possible. Aesthetically, the restaurant feels like every restaurant in Nashville that’s trying to be “upscale.” My waiter was really sweet, but really timid, I felt so bad for him because of how blunt I was. He was so sweet. The food was mediocre but be prepared for a surprise on some of your sushi. I ordered a few things off the menu and ventured out of my normal realm. Deep rice balls was one. It was.. really off putting. It’s not on the menu that they top it off with pop rocks. I asked my waiter if it was a joke or a mistake and he nicely explained that “sometimes they like to add something to the experience.” And then if I enjoyed it. Absolutely not.
