China Moon — Restaurant in Clay Township

Unfortunately, our first time experience with this establishment was horrible. I was really looking forward to trying their food as I had heard great things about the food. We ordered approx. $30. worth of food- Roasted Pork Lo Mein, Bourbon Chicken with rice, Crab Rangoon, Egg Rolls, and another appetizer. They packaged the food up and we went home. I opened the Lo Mein and it was heavily mixed with Mushrooms. I am severly allergic to mushrooms. My husband called China Moon and spoke with the lady and kindly explained the situation and asked if we could bring the Lo Mein back and exchange it for something else or have it made without mushrooms. The lady yelled at my husband refusing to work with us, saying, "no refund, no exchange. You didn't ask for no mushrooms." He tried explaining to her that we had no way of knowing mushrooms would be used, so how were we to know to ask for that. We have been to other establishments and mushrooms were never put in Lo Mein. We understand not all establishments are the same and that's fine, but the ingredients are also not listed on the menu. She did not care that there was a medical issue and that we could not eat it, and were now out our money for that item too, or that we were polite about the situation... we weren't even asking for a refund- just an exchange for something else i could eat! My husband even told her the other food was great! No matter what she was not willing to make the situation right. I could not believe what was happening and was taken back at the lack of professionalism and horrible customer service! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Sadly, for them they lost customers who love Chinese food and would have given them more business in the future, but will not be after that experience. If she doesn't gain better customer service skills I'm sure there will be more...

I have ordered from this countless times, including as of writing this review. I've ordered so much and haven't reviewed but felt it was time.

I've never had Chinese food that consistently impressed me. I have yet to be disappointed from anything I've ordered. I've been doing my best to try a variety of dishes and not get the same thing just because this place is so good. My Wife and I used to only order from Wok N Roll however their quality starting going downhill awfully fast. Once we tried China Moon we never looked back. Below are some of the dishes I've had that were delicious and I would recommend. As of writing this I ordered the Coconut Chicken which I haven't had yet but can't wait to try.

Also, the staff is always the same and always friendly. The woman at the counter is always pleasant. I can't say enough great things about this place.

So we ordered for the second time cause we loved the food the first time. Again the taste was delicious however the portions were barely full. I don’t know if it was later and they were running low but it wasn’t even to the first line of the container. The only other issue I was disappointed with is I like sauces and usually they aren’t on lock down in most places but here they are so I asked for dinner for two I asked for 3 soy sauce 4 duck sauce and 1 hot mustard and she literally said that to much like maam I should have as many as I need to enjoy my taste in my opinion and to make a comment that I’m asking for to much for 2 people I felt was very rude.
