I came to Clemson for a week to visit some friends and as someone who works in food, these baristas are ridiculously busy on weekends. Especially when there is a home game. Reviews say they move slow but if you watch, they can only move as fast as the coffee is brewing or the espresso shots are being pulled. Also, take a look to see how many espresso machines they have, two; How can two sustain your 5 drink order with 50 other people coming in at the same time? If anything, contact corporate and let them know these employees need HELP.
Taking game weekends out of the picture, most of the time if you come during the week when it's just students and it isn't nearly as busy. Entitled people that have never worked a hard day in their lives can't sympathize with how swamped this specific Starbucks gets. After talking with the barista while they were making my drink I found out that this is THE BUSIEST STARBUCKS IN THE AREA so keep that in mind. Why are you wondering how long your coffee is taking you when the barista clearly told you the wait time for your drink and you see that they have 25 stickers (drinks) before yours? In that case, stop holding up the line with you're 10 lattes and...
Read moreI work for Clemson and pass out parking passes for the college on game day. They’re bought online. After Helene most people had no power/wifi and couldn’t find my booth, especially the one’s that flew in from California! I chose this as the meet spot bc it’s at the 4 way everyone was lost at… out of nowhere was accused of soliciting because I was trying to help lost people and told them to just meet me here. The manager screamed at me, threatened me, called the police and trespassed me. I left immediately after I was told and went to Walgreens across the street and she still harassed me. We bought coffees and sandwiches and bothered no one outside. I met amazing forever friends with the day-to-day patrons. Very hurt because this woman refused to understand this situation or hear because she was busy screaming. I have several witnesses to this. They closed the store 10 minutes later. That manager is unhinged and a gross mouthed girl. She should be ashamed speaking like that in front of kids and families working in...
Read moreStarbucks has great coffee.. but that's about it. (And some people don't even like the coffee). The prices continue to rise. For a venti (large) cup of coffee, you'll be paying upwards of $6. And forget add-ons unless you want a $10 cup of coffee. I used to be fine with paying these prices because I had yet to discover coffee and doughnut shops. I loved that I could personalize my drinks and get exactly what I wanted. But, I have a caffeine allergy (I know, I know! Why would I want coffee without the caffeine?!) And I always request decaffeinated coffee (or end up in the ER). Over half of the coffee I got from Starbucks (hundreds over a years span) at least a third of them were wrong, tasted terrible from the shots burning or had caffeine in them. The caffeine mistakes are what finally drove me to discover other shops! The staff is also known to roll their eyes, hurry you through your orders and then get your order wrong. Taking into consideration the prices, quality, friendliness and overall ambiance of Starbucks,...
