Our family were regular patrons of Chili's in Clermont, Fl however, that's likely to change due to our last visit. My to go order was promised to be ready at 4:35 pm at the curbside. I waited and waited in my vehicle until 4:55 pm and then went inside. I was told my order was not received. I showed the confirmation from my cell phone and said yes my order was taken and paid for already and here's evidence of that.
I waited inside the resturant and could see there were orders bagged-up along the counter so I asked is that my order over there? The staff member said no. I asked another staff member could they check and see if that order on the counter was my curbside to go order? That staff member confirmed that it was indeed my order.
I took my order and on the way home my wife placed a call to the manager on duty that evening just to let them know the customer experience is generally good and we hope it will be the next time we dine there. In the process of explaining the whole event the manager hung-up the phone while my wife was yet speaking to her. My wife called back a second time due to the possibility of a phone error but then the same manager hung-up the phone while my wife was yet speaking a second time.
We are severly disappointed in the lousy service from the curbside staff and the manager on duty due to no accountability and severe lack of professionalism!
Perhaps, the Chili's in Clermont on Hwy 50 can learn from there competition across the street who have excellent customer service etiquette with a smile and bring the food outside to the customer when they use the "to go curbside" option in a timely manner as scheduled. On occasion, when the competitors have had subpar service they did own up to it and a simple apology was all it took for us to keep going back.
Service quality is just as important to the customer as the food itself and unfortunately Chili's in Clermont on Hwy 50 missed the mark of "Great" customer service! The mark wasn't even "ok" it was...
Read moreWe came back because we came a month ago and it has improved so much. I think the manager at that time was Chris. Sadly, tonight makes us not want to come back. We were seated along with others in the a section. My husband had to get the attention of the hostess to notify our waitress because we sat there at least 30 minutes. Which once she came over, were told she wasn’t notified because it wasn’t her section. We weren’t the only ones waiting. She was great! She placed our orders. We went through 3 rounds of chips before our food finally came out. My son’s burger with no bun was a mess. The last time we came its was so presentable. This was just thrown on the plate. Neither of the potatoes soups came out. When they did, they were barely warm and barely any in the bowl like no care. My chili was nasty and very salty. When we asked to speak the manager, Lois came out. When we let him know what was wrong, he said he’ll let the cooks know and that he was short staffed. He asked if we wanted a free dessert. We decline because the food was already not good, we didn’t want any more food. He went back to the kitchen. When we asked the waitress if anything was being taken care of on the bill, she said she’d go ask. When she came back she said he was in the grill area not paying attention. The only good thing about tonight was our waitress. We’re in the food industry and when you make the customer wait that long, and food wasn’t subpar and we know for fact we were the only customers complaining, we take care of the customers. Even if that means taking a few dollars off the bill. It just felt like he...
Read moreWe are family of 4, went there for a dinner on August 27th, around 9 pm for the first time (we live near the one on 27th). The waitress that night was NOT friendly at all. I chose the 3 for $10, strawberry presidente margarita for drinks (1st of 3), cajun pasta (2nd of 3) which was the server explained that “there’s an upcharge with cajun shrimp pasta” which was ok with us (I always order it in the other location) and potato soup (3rd of 3). The server said they can’t apply the margarita on the combo since i’m getting a strawberry flavored one (even though the options says “presidente margarita”). I asked her about what it says on the menu and she said “whatever…I’ll just have the manager overwrite it”. My pasta was served and it wasn’t a cajun pasta, it was an ordinary alfredo pasta with shrimp in it. We waited and waited for the server to comeback, we saw her several times and everytime she passes our table, she won’t even look at us, she didn’t even ask us even once how our food was. We got her attention and explained that my pasta isn’t a cajun pasta, she smirked and said “well I can ask them for a cajun seasoning in a cup if you want”. In short, our dinner was ruined by your server. The restaurant wasn’t even full, and we saw her having happy conversations with 2 guys on the other table. We left a survey on the tablet at the table, but didn’t hear anything back. I guess they tolerate this kind of behavior from their servers. I DON’T RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION AT ALL. Go to the one on 27th by Four Corners, we never had a bad...
