I don't know where to start. I initially chose this restaurant to host a very special 40th birthday after dining here once before and being blown away by the food. It is smaller and quaint, but the staff were fabulous and food, to die for. I booked seating on patio a week in advance for a group of 24 people. Unfortunately due to weather changes the day of the event, there had appeared to be a chance of rain. They called me to confirm 4 hours prior to our arrival, we decided to take a chance to go with it as it was way too soon to change dinner plans for that many people. I called to confirm the day of that we are coming. I called again to let them know 30 minutes prior that we are on the way. Upon arrival, with all 20 of my guests, we proceeded to wait OUTSIDE ON THE SIDEWALK, for an HOUR before being seated. I kept having to ask when things would be ready, urging them to keep it moving. I understand a slight delay, but an entire hour after having reserved such a large party with a weeks notice and multiple confirmation calls the day of, and I have 20 guests standing outside waiting. I couldn't believe it. And the hostess had acted like I was crazy for being upset. We finally get seated, and they had 2 young servers bringing out waters for the table. TWO. AT. A TIME. Each of them came out with 2 waters each, went back in, 5 minutes later, two more waters come out. DO THESE PEOPLE KNOW WHAT A TRAY IS ? On top of waiting an hour just to sit down, we waited 20 minutes for water. I had guests going to the bar by themselves just to get a drink! We ordered champagne for the entire table, of which took another 30 minutes just to get glasses set out and each guest to be poured champagne. I had to ask the server in the middle of it to just put in an order of 6 appetizers to get some kind of food out to people as its been 2 hours now of WAITING for seats and water. Not even bread or butter was brought out. I had another guest order 2 additional bottles of champagne for everyone. Another half hour had gone by, he then went inside to the bar to check on it just to find out that they were never told of the additional champagne order, the server forgot to tell them. And so he cancelled it. By the time the appetizers finally came out, rain had come. No one came out to see if we were okay. I had to look and ask for someone to come out so I could graciously tell them we were leaving. 2 hours for seats, water, appetizers and to be treated like absolute trash. This was the most disgraceful and disgusting embarrassment I have ever seen and had to experience from a restaurant. I had nothing but good things to say before, and no one could ever predict rain, but they should be absolutely ashamed of themselves after that performance. And to top it all of~ I was still charged. I am amazed at my ability to have been able to keep my cool as I did, as well as writing this review. Unprepared, unapologetic, rude, at the very least they could have just said they are or were not equip to handle a larger party instead of this. I hope they are happy they ruined a very...

Bruno’s Ristorante in Cleveland is a cherished establishment that exudes warmth and tradition, making it a beloved destination for those seeking authentic Italian cuisine. With a rich history that dates back several decades, Bruno’s has become a staple in the community, known for its commitment to quality ingredients and time-honored recipes that have been passed down through generations.

As you enter Bruno’s, you're greeted by an inviting and cozy atmosphere that feels like stepping into a classic Italian home. The decor features rustic wooden accents, soft lighting, and charming Italian artwork that sets the tone for a delightful dining experience. The intimate setting is perfect for romantic dinners, family gatherings, or celebrating special occasions, as the ambiance is both welcoming and sophisticated.

One dish that truly stands out at Bruno’s is the eggplant lasagna. Described by many as “out of this world,” this dish is a testament to the restaurant’s dedication to crafting flavorful and satisfying meals. Layers of perfectly cooked eggplant are interspersed with rich marinara sauce, creamy ricotta, and melted mozzarella, creating a harmonious blend of textures and flavors. Each bite is a delightful balance of savory and comforting, making it a must-try for anyone visiting the restaurant.

In addition to the eggplant lasagna, the menu boasts an array of other Italian classics that are equally impressive. The homemade pasta is a highlight, with options like fettuccine alfredo and spaghetti carbonara that showcase the restaurant's commitment to traditional preparation methods. The sauces are made in-house, bursting with flavor and perfectly complementing the pasta.

Seafood lovers will appreciate the fresh fish dishes, such as the branzino or shrimp scampi, which are expertly prepared and seasoned to perfection. The vibrant flavors and attention to detail in the presentation make these dishes truly special.

Bruno’s also offers a selection of antipasti that serves as a delightful way to start your meal. The charcuterie board, featuring a variety of cured meats, cheeses, and marinated vegetables, is an excellent choice for sharing and pairs beautifully with a glass of wine from their extensive list.

The service at Bruno’s is attentive and friendly, with staff members who are knowledgeable about the menu and genuinely passionate about providing an exceptional dining experience. This level of care adds to the overall charm of the restaurant, making each visit feel personal and welcoming.

Incredibly disappointed! I was craving Lasagna and asked Google who had the best Lasagna in town. It recommended Bruno's so without hesitation, I called to place an order. I was asked if I wanted soup or salad with my Lasagna. And I said I would like a Caesar salad. I also ordered a bowl of the wedding soup because I love wedding soup and wanted to taste theirs. I asked if the bread and garlic butter would still come with my meal and she assured me it would. So I go to pick up my order. Took it home, opened the bag and there was a bowl and a cup of wedding soup. No Caesar salad. There were 2 foil balls in the bag. And when I opened them up, I discovered that was the bread which was 2 very small pieces with an overdone crust and not a drop of this great garlic butter that I have heard about. So I decided to pass on everything else and just focus on my Lasagna. When I opened the container, I couldn't believe the size of the Lasagna that was in there. It was huge and looked delicious. But it appeared that they had baked it on a piece of foil and put the Lasagna, foil and all, inside the Styrofoam container. And I thought to myself, oh boy. I'm going to have to be really careful. Or I'm going to get some pieces of foil in my mouth. So I took my first bite which was indeed tasty, but oh my gosh, the salt. Wow, way too salty. Unnecessarily salty. So I took a couple more bites trying to be very delicate because of the foil and sure enough, I bit down on a piece of foil. Well, that pretty much ended the meal for me. So I tucked it in the fridge with the hopes of reheating it maybe later or tomorrow. But I'm afraid that I spent quite a bit of money to have 4 bites of super salty food. I'm not sure why it gets the rating of best Lasagna in Cleveland. It's definitely the biggest Lasagna in Cleveland but by no means would I have ranked that number one...

We came from out of town and were really flying blind when picking a spot for dinner. My teenage boys said they wanted to eat Italian food, so after a search we found Bruno's. We had no idea that we should have made a reservation but the hostess was so accommodating and kind. She put us at the last available table on the patio. Our server was super attentive and brought out an amazing bread basket very quickly. We decided on the antipasto as an appetizer and it did not disappoint. Everything was super fresh and delicious. We ordered and had a nice time actually talking to the kids while we waited for our food. Initially when we were watching food come out for other diners, I thought that they were ordering family style...I was wrong! 2 of us had Italian Wedding soup and 2 of us had salads with house balsamic vinaigrette starters with our dinners. Both were wonderful, fresh and well seasoned. When our meals came, we were super impressed with the portion sizes...it's always hard to find restaurants with portion sizes that will happily feed teenage boys! The food was phenomenal. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The sauces were absolutely amazing. We ordered a Margherita pizza, manicotti, meat ravioli and linguine Alfredo with shrimp. As picky as everybody can be, we all agreed that Bruno's food is even better than our go to spot near home. The service was amazing from the minute we walked in the door to the minute we walked out. Food was fantastic...we are thrilled that there are leftovers, so we can enjoy the food one more time! Prices were unbeatable, considering the quality and quantity of food received. Bruno's is definitely on our list when we return to the area!!!

If the picture doesn't convince you, maybe my review will. My first trip to Bruno's stemmed from a business lunch, suggested by our Italian insurance providers who have yet to steer me wrong when it comes to dining suggestions. I was absolutely blown away by the Chicken Cacciatore on my first trip and the combination of delicious food and great service knew I had to share this place with others. From there I turned it into a fun conversation piece at the office by taking a different person every week or so back to Brunos. It was always a great time, walking them through the menu and watching as they realize the food always exceeded the hype I gave it on the drive over. From the Lasagna to the Chicken Cacciatore to the Chicken Parmesan, everyone leaves Bruno's with a full belly, a happy smile, and only a small dent to their wallet (seriously, you can't beat their lunch prices). This place is the best kept secret when it comes to Cleveland Italian restaurants, and really just Cleveland restaurants in general. While I'm doing my part to share the word of this hidden gem, hopefully you'll be the next ambassador once you take your first bite of one of the many delicious menu items they offer!
