Carnegie Food Hub — Restaurant in Cleveland

I absolutely loved trying out the Carnegie Food Hub! A special shout-out to you Yelp for allowing me to have the opportunity to try this place as part of the Cleveland Yelp Elite Squad! I opted to try three of the restaurant options so I could determine if this place was worth a return visit for my whole family (spoiler alert, the answer is YES!). This place is cashless and carry out only so keep that in mind when visiting. (Ordering instructions below)

This place is so unique and cool. I have passed by it probably 100 times since moving to Cleveland and always wondered what it was.

If I were to make one recommendation, it would be to have better signage outside that conveys what this place is because people need to know. I thought it was a place for only doordash drivers and Grubhub drivers due to the signage. According to their website, there were 14 different restaurants to choose to order from today when I went. I was shocked!!! It appears as though there are a total of 18 to choose from but I believe they may have varying hours/days of operation.

There is ample parking on the west side of the building. You can either order from the kiosks or make your order online on their website. Once again, this place is completely cashless. After you place your order, you will receive a text message confirming your order and an estimated wait time to receive your food. Once your food is ready, you will receive a text message telling you which locker your food is in. Once you are in front of the lockers on site, you click the link in your text message and the door to your locker pops open! So cool!

Today, I ordered my food in the lobby and just sat and waited on the bench for about 15 minutes while my food was being prepared. Next time, I’ll be ordering online to save some time!

Here are the restaurants we tried, what we got and what we thought:

Little Italia

Mozzarella Cheese Sticks - Yum! These also reheated very nicely in the microwave

Lasagna - good flavor but it was pretty greasy and the lasagna noodles did not seem to be cooked (I feel like they were the noodles that are store bought and don’t have to be boiled before baking…. I could be wrong but I usually use those when I make lasagna at home and sometimes it turns out like that.)

Spicy chicken pasta - my husband had this and really enjoyed it. Large portion size! He did say that to him it wasn’t very spicy.

Chocolate cake - I really enjoyed the chocolate cake. The mousse/icing was my favorite part. Is it the best cake you’ve ever tasted… no. But it was darn good in my opinion.

Mexitaco

QUESABIRRIA TACOS - the meat inside the taco was delicious but I did not care for the tortilla or the overall flavor. Blue Habanero still has my favorite Quesabirria tacos here in CleveIand. With that said, I would like to give Mexitaco another try and order something different.

Seoul City Wings

Honey Butter Boneless Wings - the wings were a good size and the flavor was enjoyable!

Sweet & Tangy Wings - Also very enjoyable!

My only complaint about my experience with Seoul City Wings would be that that the boneless wings lacked sauce and therefore it wasn’t as great as I believe it could have been.

I can’t wait to return to Carnegie...

I was so excited to go support MACK FLOWERS OWNER OF SMOKIN GEMINIS‼️when I first walked inside the building I notice all the coloring and these big letters and numbers facing on the wall which actually were pick up slots. Very quaint spacious clean atmosphere. My first time I notice the screens but didn’t know how to do the process. So this LOVELY LADY CORETTA came out and GREETED ME then introduced herself to me. She showed me how to go on the touch screens to make my order since there was one other customer waiting with me she graciously took my order. While waiting on my order I went on the touchscreen and noticed they had a dessert available… so it is not complicated you put in your order, your name, and your phone number and you can tap pay/ card/cash…get your receipt . I ordered the turkey Spaghetti it came with warm soft garlic bread and a side salad with dressing.VERY NICE PORTIONS🙌🏾 When I tell you those 🙌🏾TURKEY meatballs melted in your mouth and the zucchini spaghetti and sauce tasted so fresh… PERFECTLY SEASONED‼️yes very delicious. It was my first time in this area, as I saw it on the news. I was coming from work, and its great if you don’t have a lot of options food wise after midnight, they are open 24 hours. I ordered the cod fish dinner from Little Italia I think, and the food was prepared only moments after I ordered. I did feel like it was pricey but convenience wise, it wasn’t bad, but the portion of fish was disappointing as they actually supplemented the lacking amount of fish with a ton of fries. Parking was available but most people use blinkers to sit up front. Also, the service is so cool, you don’t have to interact with anyone, and the time they estimated the food to be ready, was only 2-3 minutes later than they actually said but that wasn’t bad either. I only took away 1 star for the food for cost to portion...
