Despite being a beautiful venue, this was my worst experience at a concert venue so far. I travelled here to see the Dance Gavin Dance show on 9/25/23 and I had a ticket for the pit. Between openers I had to use the bathroom. I took one step out of the pit to be able to read the sign that was facing the outside of the pit which states that if you leave you cannot re-enter without waiting in line, which was wrapped the whole way to the back of the venue. I immediately asked the security guard about the sign, still only standing one step outside of the pit, and he confirmed that you cannot re-enter. I explained that I can just hold it if that is the case, and I tried to step back inside. He insisted that I go all the way to the back of the line despite the fact that I had only taken one step out. As a small, petite, single female being separated from my group who were not able to answer my frantic phone calls, I quickly began to have a panic attack. Fortunately, the kind people waiting in line had witnessed what had happened and agreed that the security guard was being unnecessarily rude to me considering I had only taken one step outside of the pit. They let me in front of them and when the security guards switched out, I explained my situation to the new security guard who kindly let me in. I am grateful to him for helping me reunite with my friends, however I am disappointed in the other security guard for his lack of empathy and humanity. I understand that things happen and that they only wanted to keep everyone safe, but enforcing the rule for someone who took one step outside of the pit to read the sign and decide that they'd rather hold their piss seems like an unnecessary enforcement of rules. He should have had the sign visible to those leaving the pit or at least given people a heads up, because I can't imagine how many orher people were isolated from their group last night or who lost the spot they waited hours for, or worse paid for with VIP. Closing the pit also didn't solve any problems. Sure it may have made the pit less crowded, but in turn it only made the balcony areas more crowded as people waited in other people's sections to get back to their own section. How is that fair to anyone, including the people in the balcony trying to enjoy their show? That security guard showed no regard for people at the show, and quite frankly, nobody deserves to have to have a panic attack or hold in their piss (losing your exact spot is one thing, but losing access to the entire section you bought your ticket for is another). I'm now going to avoid seeing shows at the Agora if I can, and if I do come again I'll have to keep in mind that I'll need to stay dehydrated and hope I don't pass out.
If I could give props to the rest of the staff I would, but that one guy in particular was unfortunately rude enough to sour part of...

One of the first things that struck me was the unique design of the space. The Agora combines historical elements with modern touches, creating a warm and inviting environment. The layout is well thought out, with both standing and seated options, allowing for a more intimate experience with the performers. No matter where you are in the venue, the acoustics are outstanding, ensuring that you can enjoy the music without distortion.

Read moreThe concert was great and I LOVED this venue. I did have a horrific experience with a green haired worker. My best friend and I went on December 16 to see Cupcakke, and I checked the bag policy on their website multiple times. It stated bags 12 x 12 and under were permitted, and my purse was an 8.5 x 11 and nowhere near full. Nowhere did it say bags weren’t permitted so this gave me peace of mind that my purse would be fine to bring in. I had taken it to every concert I’ve been to this year with the same restrictions, and had no issue. The second I walked in the door, a worker with green hair (I’m not sure what her name was) immediately told me “You have to take that to your car.”, even though there was a no reentry policy (she did not tell me this when she said I had to take it back, I heard it from another staff member. I would have been screwed if I did in fact take it back to my car). This baffled me because I had measured the bag and I explained that to her, and still to no avail. My best friend went and held our spot thankfully but she kept changing her story. She told me no bags were being permitted tonight, which was not posted anywhere, so I started getting snippy, I will admit and I never do that. She then looked at my friend’s bag, which was around 8x8 and said hers was fine. She changed her story multiple times before her manager, I presume, came over and said my bag was small enough, and it wasn’t a backpack so it wasn’t an issue. This was so frustrating for me and my friend because we paid 20 dollars extra to enter the venue early, and I had never been treated by a worker like that. I even offered to THROW OUT my go-to concert purse and she looked at me like I was insane like I wasn’t desperate. It was an awful experience and tainted my whole night. The concert was great, but that particular staffer was very frustrating to deal with because she would not listen to anything I came up with, whether it was throwing out the bag, how big it...
