This is my FAVORITE spot in Cleveland. The building is so interesting and beautiful. The coffee shop is in the front of the Grit and Grace market. There is ample parking and plenty of places to sit inside and outside. Every time I've stopped by, there has been seating (even on Saturday) despite being a smaller shop.
The staff is SO kind and the coffee is amazing. Not burnt, sour, or watery unlike most other shops. Their drink options are so unique and surprisingly tasty. It looks like they even make most of their ingredients and syrups in house. I've been having so much fun trying their seasonal menu.
Their food is even better than their coffee somehow. I have only tried items from their pastry case but it has blown me away. I LOVE their Blackberry Lavender scone and rice Krispy. Their scone is flavorful and moist enough that it doesn't fall apart. Their rice Krispy is made with browned butter so it is buttery, salty, and so soft. I always want to save some from later but end up eating everything by the time I get home..... just one more bite is what I tell myself!
After you get your coffee, sit outside and enjoy the sun or take a stroll through the super cute market. This place is...
Read moreI love this coffee shop. I am here multiple times per week and I tell everyone about it. This is the 3rd time I have come in to First Bloom when Olivia (I think that is her name) has been working. She has the worst personality for dealing with the general public let alone customers. She does not own a smile and words seem to escape her. A simple “hello” or “what can I get you” goes a long way in customer service. Rather than the blank stare from the other side of the cash register. And then not a “thank you” at the end of the transaction. God forbid she walks 10 feet to hand me my drink but just leave it on the counter with a barely audible declaration of what the drink is. Like this shop is so busy she does not have time to do more than the bare minimum. If you are too cool to work here, I am sure Hot...
Read moreArriving here, I had no idea where the coffee shop specifically was lol. Miraculously I found a small sign with an arrow and followed it. I followed the general area of the cars and it took me a minute to find the entrance.
From the outside, the building looked questionable but the inside was decorated well and cozy. I loved the interior ambiance, the brick walls, industrial lighting, and cute/whimsical decorations like the mushroom napkin holder hehe.
I got an iced lavender latte with oat milk and it was delicious. Prices were reasonable as well :) My drink was very well balanced, it was rich and the sweetness level was perfect. It was exactly how I like my lavender lattes. The barista was so kind and helpful too. Can't wait to come back to this...
