Holland’s BBQ — Restaurant in Cleveland

My partner and I went on the great hunt for at least decent fried chicken (apparently no such thing exists in Cleveland anymore). Whoever was cooking ribs on grills in the parking lot lured us in with the scent. As far as customer service, it's a storefront, not a restaurant. A polite young lady took our order and told us 20 minutes. We took that opportunity to go to Two Friends Brewing across 185th Street. Twenty-one minutes later we got a call to come get our food. We were not disappointed. I grew up in the '70s when Hot Sauce WIlliams ruled the east side with his ribs and polish boys. Holland's BBQ rivals Hot Sauce Williams. The ribs were tender without being mushy and had a slight, nice chew. Smoky with a sauce that complemented that fact well. I had the fries and cole slaw to go with it. But I also ordered the greens and they really, seriously, really hit hard. They were nice and tender with nice seasoning, including a subtle hint of vinegar. Was told it was a 30 minute wait for a long bone rib dinner and they had no other sides available listed on their menu, only fries and slaw. They're supposed to call your phone when your order is ready but after 30 minutes I just went back in and got my order because it was busy. Slaw was good, fries were hard and greasy, and the ribs were lukewarm, skimpy, overcooked, fatty, tasted old and barely had any sauce on them. I was told the dinners came with 5 bones but was only given 4. The young lady taking orders was friendly but sure seemed to need some help. Food is great! However, if you have hours to wait then you’re good 👍🏽 I placed an order at 5:45 pm and was told it would be ready in 1 hour. I arrived at 6:55 and the cashier RUDELY asked me “did I call you” I replied “no, but you told me over the phone my order would be ready in 1 hour” she again asked me very RUDELY “but did I call you” and then told me to sit in my car and she would call me when the order was ready, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I paid for my food over the phone and there is a no refund policy………… long story short I received my order at 8:35 pm. If the customer service matched the FOOD this place...
