I recently visited the KFC on Keith Street in Cleveland, TN, and I must say, my experience left me deeply disappointed. At first glance, this newly reconstructed KFC seemed inviting with its clean, new construction. Unlike its counterparts in larger cities, this location lacked the signs of constant robberies and unsavory characters. However, appearances can be deceiving, and I urge you to consider other options before dining here.
Regardless of the time of day, this KFC always appears closed. The open signs remain off, and during the evening, the building lights and parking lights are switched off as well. The darkened windows give the impression of abandonment, but it is far from the truth. Inside, you'll find just two or three employees who seem reluctant to be there. If you happen to visit the drive-thru an hour or so to closing time, don't be surprised if you're met with silence or told that they're out of chicken for the rest of the night. Yes, KFC without chicken is hard to fathom!
Unfortunately, my recent visit aligned with my expectations. The place appeared closed, with lights out and no inviting "open sign." As I entered the eerily empty dining area, I quickly realized the danger that awaited me. Despite the abundance of wet floor signs, the floor was coated in a treacherous layer of grease and oil. It felt as though they had dipped their mop directly into the fryer and used that as their mop water.
I had hoped that the new look of this KFC would signify an improvement in their operations. Regrettably, it was clear that they had not made any meaningful changes.
I must admit, I am not a fan of the competing chicken places that claim their chicken is divinely blessed. However, I would choose to endure the unholiness of their competitors rather than dine at this KFC again.
To all the readers out there, here's a tip: if an eatery appears empty during its supposed opening hours, especially at lunchtime, take it as a warning and run. Both the employees and the locals are trying to convey a message, and it's best to heed...
Read moreWe had placed an online order here on evening of Saturday September 5th and was extremely disappointed. We had placed it to pick it up at 6pm and when we got there at a little after 6 there was a huge line at the drive through. When we got in the store there was a line of people waiting for food and no one greeted us when we entered. We waited for a long time before we saw any employee and they were just interacting with the people who were waiting on food. They seemed to be more interested in taking care of the drive through people. While waiting struck up a conversation on a customer waiting for food and he said that he had been waiting for over 40 minutes for a chicken strip meal because they were down a fryer. I've worked for the food industry before and when we had an issue similar to that we shut down our online ordering system to prevent customers from waiting forever. When we did get our food 30 minutes after we should have and never got a sorry for the inconvenience or anything. I won't be going back...
Read moreKFC is by far the best friend chicken for fast food but this location is a disaster. Employees try so hard but somewhere above them there is enormous inability to run an efficient restaurant. Staff changes constantly and over two years and very infrequent visits to the inside dining and drive through the wait and reliability is a massive disappointment. Just spent two hours the other night starting at 615 waiting in drive thru, didn’t get what I ordered and left wondering WHY!?!?! I subjected myself. Spent so much time telling myself to be courteous and not blame the teenager trying to order fulfill and deliver I didn’t notice I didn’t get my food! I love KFC but after trying to call local number on receipt for over an hour and trying to call 1-800 number and being on hold for 20 minutes just chalked it up to never going their again....
