After my friend had already paid for a couch, she was told that they could not hold the couch for 2 days until she was able to get a truck to transport it to her house since they don't offer delivery; she reached out to my mom to see if she could borrow her truck. The guy started to help load the truck when my mom got there and asked for help from my friend so that he can "toss the couch in the back". That worried my mom because her truck has less than 4500 miles (she JUST got the truck) and she politely asked him to try not to damage anything on her truck, his response was "I can't guarantee anything" and then slammed the couch into her third break light above the back window. Instead of apologizing or even looking at the damage while my mom was upset, he took a step and lit a cigarette. He was completely unconcerned. We understand that if you use your own truck to transport something, some damage might happen; but it was the complete disregard for her property and disrespect to her and my friend that has upset them both. If they don't offer delivery then they should take extra care when using a customer's vehicle. My mom has reached out to corporate in hopes to shed some light on the situation but has yet to hear from them. I have been looking for some new furniture for my apartment and have been looking at Big Lots but I will gladly spend more money else where just so I can be treated like a...
Read moreI have to say they have a few knick knacks and items for which are great prices. My first time going into this spot... Seemed empty and bland on one side and overly uncomfortable and crowded on the other. I was excited as I have always been a fan of this store out in different states. Was disappointed in this particular store. I can't explain it really. Looked full but empty and slightly uncomfortable. The energy seemed bleak. Seemed dirty. Almost like a 99 cent store type vibe. Im not sure what i was expecting but definitely not that. I did walk the entire store. I was looking for something specific which they did not have. But i did have some cash that was burning a hole in my pocket.... But i ended up leaving and not buying anything at all. Not one person said hello or offered to help while I...
Read moreI tend to shun big box mega stores as there is nothing more frustrating than taking 2 hours to shop because the store is so large. That’s why I started shopping at Big Lots and became hooked on the selection, value and pricing, This store is one of the largest I’ve been to and it truly has everything you need except fresh meat and produce. Quality Broyhill furniture greets you as you enter followed by aisles of home goods. Right now the Christmas tree selection is great with competitive pricing! The toy selection is excellent too. Join the rewards program and you will receive frequent 20% off your entire purchase coupons as well as coupons when you hit certain spending limits. Excellent close to the door...
