Steak 'n Shake — Restaurant in Cleveland

We went to this one as it is a little closer than Brooklyn. Should have known when we were the only ones there and it took five mins for someone to come over (it was 11:30a on a Sunday). Our food was all messed up. My Salad bowl and my son's both were missing the avocado. Mine I asked for no cheese and there was cheese hidden in it. My youngest I order Mac n cheese for and the server brought out sliders. I told him that is not what I ordered and he argued with me in saying that is what I ordered. Sadly for him, I would never order as my children and I are vegetarian, so no.. sliders would have never been my order. I asked for him to bring a side plate so we could take fries from my husband's and give to my youngest. He brings back the same plate from the sliders with fries on it with smears of ketchup all over it. My husband ordered a milkshake. We had our food and were half done eating when my husband asked about it. He finally brought it. Overall, we will never visit this location again. When you can not get a simple order right when you are dead then it shows the place is not good. I was not going to say anything about my salad but my husband told me I should as I had only eaten half (the half the cheese was not dumped on). They ended up taking both my son's and my salads off the bill. Still not enough for me to visit this location again. Ghetto rude unprofessional disrespectful and very disturbing... on 8-7-2023 around 6:50pm. I'm in the drive thru ordering a #8 when I asked with no onion the drive thru server who was taking the order proceeded to say "they come with them but whateva whateva anythang else anythang else" (rudely with attitude and very dismissive)... I asked for the manager as the manager proceeded to yell over the intercom, I explained that I'll come in, she yelled my doe locked and I am the managa (side note the spelling errors are how they were annunciated) I pull out of drive thru and proceed to check the door when I am met by a midsized average height brown skin gender neutral being with a missing tooth and a young beard named Barbara aka Barbara Tucker ( this is how it was said me) said manager who boisterously over the intercom made me aware her doe was locked.... when addressing the issue of customer service I was told by said gentleladyman (aka bbt big Barbara tucker in case you were wondering about the acronym) that's how she talks anything else I can help you with ma'am ( said in an aggressive tone) And the excuse for the poor customer service was that they were understaffed.... at this point I'm uncomfortable spending my money or even trusting them with my food for me and...

Food was ok fries were stale, but the employees are not great. Gum chewing bus staff. Cooks should wear hairnets; sweatbands are not sanitary. When we arrived at 6:30, all the tables were completely empty with dirty dishes everywhere and it took bus staff until 7:25 to meander around and clean it up. We got sat along with two other tables at the same time. A third set of people walked in and totally ignored the please wait to be seated and took a seat at the one table that the bus staff just cleaned. All the wait staff just seemed to disappear. The group that came in with us got up and left at 7:00. Waitress then asked if we had been helped at 7:15 and then tried to say that she hadn't seen our menus. I'm sorry. I should have just gone outside because I KNOW if they all disappear like that they are frustrated and HAD to take a break and were smoking outside. Sad that there is no sense of management and this was probably the last batch of customers until it slowed down for a bit. Someone in our party of 5 wanted a banana shake...and they had no onion rings either...and they were out of bananas...there is a Walmart AND a Target within walking distance in the shopping plaza. Very not customer...
