Update: last experience was a Confederate flag wearing patron that had his family with him and kept staring at me like I committed a crime by sitting at the bar. I asked if they condone or support Confederate flag wearing patrons and the bartender said we don't discriminate. I'm a black man. He's a white man with a Confederate flag on his head and his whole clan is staring me down as if I committed a crime.
What a night.
Then, because I'm a man, I asked a female patron to check the restroom for my date. I got cussed out for asking this senior citizen to check the restroom for my date because I'm a man and she's a woman, I can't go in there.
This guy gets angry in his tiny muscle shirt for me asking his mother if she can check in my mate. He decides to go in the restroom then tells me if there's an emergency to call 911. I said I know that. But there is no emergency, that's why I'm asking a woman to check. Then I showed him my badge and told him to try something and that I was intimidated by is small shirt. It's all recorded and if he wants to try something it might be his last time.
All because I asked a woman to check on my woman in the restroom.
I generally enjoy this place but last night, it seemed even the bartender tried to take advantage of me but that's another story. I'll be back but likely alone so I don't run into anymore benign third party problems again.
My first experience I thought I had a great small town comfy environment experience with great comfort food, Cheap drinks and games. Oh and the friendly hosts. Can't forget the friendly hosts.
This place is blatantly racist but the food is good and drinks are cheap. Not sure if one outweighs the other. The customer services is very bias. If you’re white you get catered to. If you’re anything else, you don’t get engaging conversations. I witnessed this first hand. If you don’t mind it, come the food is good and the drinks are cheap. The service, however, is terrible if...
Read moreIf you are looking for the "best" reproduction of the Big Boy burger from days gone past, then this is the place! Service is fine and polite, but like most places, the regulars are going to be served first. We go there every few months because we love the food, but the overall atmosphere reminds me of when it used to be called the 1800 Club (which was a low end strip club). I know, because I had to paint the interior just before the place switched to Stevensons. I see that they tried putting down a new floor and a few small other changes, but the rest is still the same. While we were there, in October, the doors were open (which was fine) and there were a bunch of flies inside. This made eating a little difficult, but we got by. Again, the food is phenomenal and prices are comparative to everyone else, the service was adequate. Atmosphere could use...
Read moreSadly with the new ownership, i think it’s going to take awhile for this place to come even half way to where it was before. I sat with my daughter for an hour waiting on 2 cheeseburgers and watched the new owner go around to every table but skipping ours telling them he’s sorry for the wait and their next round is on him. We had to get our food to go in boxes and i asked to pay, didn’t even want the check first. He takes it and didn’t take a drink off or anything. I’m never looking for handouts. but never a sorry like he told everyone else in front of me, never anything but “it should be out shortly”. Seems I wasn’t his type of customer so he just shoved me and my daughter to the side. Thanks for the poor service and boxed food. ( mind you it was not...
