I placed an order on the subway app tonight & when I arrived at the location in Cleveland, GA, to pick it up, I couldn't help but notice just how packed the restaurant was. They looked extremely busy for this to be Monday evening. Before entering the building, the male Subway Sandwich Artist/associate, greeted us at the door & informed us that our order hadn't been prepared due to the printer running out of paper... đ¤Śââď¸ I had already dealt with so much already today.... My instinct? Get upset BUT I rolled my eyes, stopped that impulse & listened to the young man explain. I just simply could not get upset with him... Unfortunately I did not pay attention to his name but this young man,-obviously very young- presented himself way more mature than his youthful appearance would suggest. He was very polite, apologized, & eager to get right to completing our order- as long as- we would be willing to patiently wait a short while longer... why not!?! I was very impressed with his positive attitude so I just patiently waited a lil while longer. I watched him nervously prepare our order. As we spoke, I learned that this restaurant is also dealing with staffing shortage, like so many other businesses are, as well as, product shortage, which can make already difficult situations like this, all the more challenging & nerve wracking. Even for the most seasoned customer service expert. To be honest, it can absolutely be overwhelming. The young man & a young woman, also working, told us, BOTH OF THEM have only been employeed by this establishment for under a week!!! Wow!! Instead of freaking out & complaining- they just... worked! I have to say, being in customer service myself, for nearly 30 years, I've witnessed 1st hand these exact same dilemmas, over the past 2 years. Sadly, this seems to be becoming the norm. Prominently, in the food service industry. The customer doesnt always understand. Tonight, my experience, at a Subway sandwich shop, in Cleveland, GA, didn't just feed my belly, it warmed my soul. These kids are freakin' awesome & handled this situation better than some grown ups would've-like bosses. Maybe we ALL need to be rememinded- everything... as we know it, has totally changed...post covid. Down to picking up dinner.
-For those out there that refused to return to work- the replacement seems to be paying the price for ur choices!!! Now, THAT.... just doesn't seem fair. Be kind! Understand... we still strugglin'... but we a'ight!
...that could be anyone of us behind that counter one day!!!!!!
đEXCEPTIONAL SERVICEđ
THANK YALL SO MUCH

Read moreAt one point in time Subway was one of the best places to grab a good light meal. I was always greeted well and never felt like I was putting anyone out with big or small orders. That is not the case anymore. Almost everytime my husband or I go in there we have an issue with the employees attitude. Tonight I had 5 teenagers at my house that wanted Subway. I hate going there but I agreed. I had my list ready and immediately apologized for having 5 sandwiches before ordering to the guy making them. I am the type that hates to be a bother to anyone. Right after I told him I would have this order he smarted off to me about the size of the order and kept mumbling under his bath each time he would prepare them. Out of spite he made my first 6 inch sandwich a kids size sandwich and wouldnât listen to me when I told him the sandwich was a 6 inch. Finally I got the meat on the sandwiches and was able to deal with someone else who put the toppings on the sandwiches. He was nicer. After he rung me up he gave me $8 in change and I immediately handed it back to the nicer person as a tip and told him I appreciated him being nice to me because his friend down the line was rude to me from the first words he spoke to me. I then walked away. Upper management needs to do something about the quality of people they hire. I didnât deserve to be treated poorly for only coming to have simple sandwiches created. Until I hear of changes being made this will be the last money I spend at...
Read moreOrder online to pickup curbside. Got there and sat in the front of the store in the curbside spot for 20 minutes and watched 7 people go in and come not with their subs. I went in very upset to say the least. The manager then said the subs had been siting and made some excuse. First of all don't make excuse own your mistakes! Secondly their were atleast 5 people working other than her. I then went outside to have another customer saying something about me in the spot which I said at least you got yours I've been here for over 20 minutes. The girl then handed me my sloppy subs. And said she didn't get the order in the computer til just then. Well subway allows you to track your order online so that was a lie. And a total contradiction from what the manager had just said. At least they could have gotten their stories straight. I will never go to the Cleveland store again. This is the first time this happened. It is worth the drive to go to Helen. You can place your order and show up 5 minutes later and they are standing there on the curb with your order smiles and all. And the subs are done right. My daughter got spinach on her sub and she got a whole 3 pieces. The subs were soggy and gross. We just threw them in the trash. The subs were leaking threw the ripped paper. If I could give negative...
