I feel sorry for posting a low review since I normally don’t but I tried this restaurant today because I’ve seen a lot of beautiful sushi rolls on the reviews and wanted to order something to go since I don’t like eating alone at places.

I knew some items online because I’ve ordered them at other places but unfortunately pictures of items on their website weren’t popping up (I was in several places with good signal to try and reload with no luck), so I ordered what I thought to be some rolls I could recognize by name.

Once I went to go pick up my order and opened it I noticed my rolls were so small! Yes they are hand rolls but I thought they’d be a bit bigger like other places I’ve went to and they’d make them larger. First picture is of Takara Sushi, These were about a half bite size (like very small, the plate they are on is tiny) compared to like what I’d usually get at Shogun Humble TX (plate is about two of the to go plate in first picture but look how stuffed those crab rolls are!!).

I’m writing this review later because after a few hours and I haven’t had anything since for food I’m now having stomach issues… I have sushi quite often and haven’t had problems with it until today.

Your service might be different dining in but I don’t really recommend to anyone trying to order to go unless your pictures can pop up or anything. It looked pretty inside so maybe service will be different if...

I had a very bad experience at Takara Sushi and Steakhouse. I waited at least 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me, while I noticed other customers didn’t wait at all. There was no greeting, no hospitality. When I tried to order, I asked about a sweet red chili sauce but may not have said it perfectly instead of helping me, the server just gave me a dismissive look like I didn’t belong there. She didn’t even ask me what size I wanted.

When I handed her my card, she placed it back on the counter instead of in my hand. Then, when it came time to sign, the paper slid off the counter and she snatched it with an attitude. The whole interaction felt unprofessional, disrespectful, and honestly discriminatory.

I am tired of people who don’t like my kind. I will no longer give my Black dollars to businesses like this. I understand where I’m not wanted, and the BBB will be notified. I will...

This was my first time visiting this establishment. The variety of food available, as well as the variety of prices, was broad. If you like soup, tempura, hibachi, or sushi, then this is the place to go. They had both pescatarian and vegetarian options alongside regular diet fare. Most sushi rolls were $12 and hibachi started at about $20.

I ordered steak and shrimp hibachi ($24), which came with rice (white or fried) and sautéed vegetables. When asked how I'd like the steak cooked, I tried with "medium," however the steak and the shrimp were both over cooked and quite tough. I was disappointed in that, but overall everything was fresh, seasoned nicely, and plated well.

The restaurant was a little small, but not cramped, the decor was fun, and the facility overall was clean and organized. The staff was accommodating...

I have been here 3 times now and the sushi has been consistently high quality. The waitresses are very friendly albeit they've been super busy so I've been overlooked a little, but I can tell they're trying to stay on the ball. If you like sushi then definitely check this place out. I'll post some pics of the rolls the next time I go Update: still impressed by their selection and the quality of food. I've started trying their various salads. They are awesome. The ichiban salad is really good, and a little sweet from the mango in it. The chefs come out and chatted with us after we ordered a boat and told us what some of the items included on it were. Love this place
