Where do I begin? The front counter workers were extremely rude. The toast was hard as a rock for me and my husbands meal. My parents and brother and sister in law were with us. They got to the restaurant maybe 10 minutes after we did. After 30 minutes of waiting they still hadn’t gotten their food. They finally got a refund and went to another restaurant. It DOES NOT take 30 minutes to make chicken. One of the cashiers smarted off to my dad which she better be glad my 2 year old niece was with us or it would not have been pretty. After they left I was throwing my plate away and they were talking about my dad and brother. They better watch that. Because next time I will NOT be quiet. You do NOT talk badly about customers in front of other customer PERIOD! That was absolutely uncalled for. This is not the first issue we’ve had with this Zaxby’s. Last week we had it and my husband had to wait 15-20 minutes on chicken. Heaven forbid at a chicken restaurant if you know you’re running low on previous days they need to make sure they cook enough. He said they were extremely busy inside and outside that day. So we gave them the benefit of the doubt. But on the day I’m talking about 7/17…there was 3 couples inside (us and another couple). There is NO excuse for that. But management better talk to the girls up front because I guarantee they will make the wrong person mad next time and it will not be a pleasant experience. I highly doubt we will come back. We will use more gas and go to the other 2 locations in Cleveland were we have never had an issue and the workers are pleasant. Do better girls I use that term because they were not acting like ladies. I just want to ask them. Would you like someone talking about...
Read moreUpon arrival to restaurant I was greeted by a male staff member with no name tag at register. I stated I would like the Boneless Wings and Things in teriyaki, with and extra side of teriyaki sauce in a cup. Cashier looked at me confused. I once again repeated my order THREE MORE TIMES for better understanding. My order was rung out and once my receipt was handed to me I noticed I was rang up for the 5pc Boneless Wing Mean. Not wings and things.
I asked a female worker behind the counter about getting my order changed and she politely had the cooks make what I ordered. My order was bagged, and once sat down at table, I was missing all normal sauces, and my extra side of teriyaki. Male staff member behind counter made smart comment stating “he should have ordered the right think in the first place.” No sir; you should have paid more attention to what the customer asked for, four different time. I was handed a sauce cup of teriyaki that stated on lid “must use by 10:25 on 11/22/22.” When staff address about expired sauce the male when to the prep counter, started peeling off expired stickers, and still proceeded to hand out those sauce cups. I will never return to this location. Every visit in the last two months my order has either been incorrect, or the service from staff is trash.
While dinning in at restaurant with another guest, we began hearing yelling, and cursing between kitchen staff. Male staff member began cleaning dinning room and cursing the entire time, stating all customers are “ignorant A**.” Keep it...
Read moreI recently visited Zaxby's for dinner, and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. What I hoped would be a tasty meal turned into a disappointing ordeal.
The main issue centered around the fried pickles I ordered. They were severely overcooked to the point of being burnt. Worse yet, the burnt smell was so potent that it permeated the entire bag, tainting the aroma and flavor of everything else I ordered. The acrid scent of burnt food was so overwhelming that it effectively ruined the entire meal.
It's hard to enjoy any part of your food when everything smells like charred paper. This experience makes me question the quality control in the kitchen and the attention to detail in food preparation.
While Zaxby's may have a reputation for tasty chicken fingers and wings, this visit fell far short of expectations. The burnt pickles and the resulting odor that ruined the rest of the meal are inexcusable for a restaurant chain of this size.
On a positive note, the service was prompt, and the staff was polite. However, the quality of the food is paramount in a restaurant, and in this case, it was severely lacking.
I'm giving this experience 2 stars instead of 1 solely because of the decent service. However, I would be hesitant to return to this location. If you're craving fried chicken or wings, you might want to consider other options...
