Dolce Gelato Cafe — Restaurant in Clinton Township

My daughter and I decided to try dolce out for the first time, we rode our bikes up there and parked went inside the looks we received the lady that was taking our order acted like she didn't want us at the store. We were undecided on what we wanted so I said if this couple would like to go ahead of us they can. So we decided to place our order, I ask the lady of the 2 gelatos had wheat or gluten she said no, she acted l like she didn't want to deal with us. We felt uncomfortable with the way everyone acted towards us. We even sit down to eat out gelatos we were polite the whole time we were there. Then we left. The gelatos were delicious. But with their attitudes we won't come back here anymore. It's so sad that you walk into a place even for the first time and the way these people treat us, I never get that type of attitude in Detroit. I don't have no problems with anybody. I loved this place. I had it in my Google maps for a cple months, wanting to stop in whenever I was near. We walked in, 3 separate tables were filled with older men, drinking espresso, having intense sounding conversations in the beautiful Italian language- so the authenticity level was off the charts. The young lady behind the counter kept insistently handing us little taster spade-spatula things of the delicious gelatos. I'm new to gelato, so I can't accurately rank the gelato, other than to say it was delicious 😋. They had all sorts of awesome looking pastries/cakes, and served espresso in ceramic demitasse cups. The lady at the counter that served us was very nice. Me, my fiance and a friend came here. Some of the gelato we ordered was good and some wasn't. The prices were high. Before we walked into this place it seemed very sketchy. Luckily I was with my fiance otherwise I wouldn't have walked in. There were so many guys out front sitting at the tables. Some were smoking weed, cigarettes, doing chewing tabacco and drinking alcohol. None of them had ice cream. They didn't seem like nice people. They just starred at us as we walked in and left.
