Taco Bell — Restaurant in Clinton Township

I come here probably once a week for years and until today I have never had any big issues. Usually they are fast and friendly enough and the food is good. It's Taco Bell so you know what you will get normally. Is it quality food? Nah. Because it's Taco Bell. It's fast food and I know what to expect from fast food in general.

So to me this Taco Bell has pretty much always been pretty good. But I just got the nuggets and oh man, NOT GOOD. They were small nugget bits, and a couple of the bits were twice as small as the rest of the already small nugget bits. I have to call them nugget bits because they really weren't big enough to be called nuggets. And they were overcooked. I wish I would have taken some pics but eh just ate it and afterwards decided to post this. Just not a good meal at all here on this day.

And so this is me telling you to avoid the nuggets, at least at this location since I can't speak on any other location.

I will still eat at this Taco Bell. The staff has always been friendly to me, especially Janiya, but really everyone has been cool. And the food usually is what I expect it to be and so that is normally good too.

I am a paramedic who runs 911 calls for the city of Clinton Township. One of our post is the intersections of 17mile and Garfield. At approx 11:12pm on 1/13/2020 myself and my partner attempted to get food on our downtime from this selected location. During this time of the evening this restaurant is the only open facility. It is hard to park our new ambulances near enough to the speaker of the drive through. So, after no response at the speaker my partner and I pulled up to the window. The worker persisted to open the window and stated that she was unable to take our order at the window due to safety concerns. We attempted to explain to the worker that we attempted to pull to the speaker but are unable due to the height of our ambulance. The worker then decided to tell us that we are not even supposed to stop for food and that WE ARE BREAKING OUR PROTOCOL! I am not requesting free items. I’m only requesting a answer on how your drive-tru employee is going to tell myself and my partner (state licensed EMT and state licensed Paramedic) our protocols! Very disappointed. Just went through the drive thru. I tried ordering a “Grande Toasted Steak Breakfast Burrito”. The guy on the speaker started asking if I wanted cheesy, potato or sausage. I repeated “steak”. He asked the same question. I told him I didn’t understand what he was asking. He said it comes cheesy, potato. Then we choose steak or sausage. So I went through the options. And at the end I ended up with a “Cheesy Toasted Potato Breakfast Burrito”. I let them know that was not correct. One is 1.00 with potato. The other is 3.50 with steak and potatoes. He had corrected my order. And I proceeded to the window. Paid and left. I get home and I have a 1.00 “Cheesy Toasted Potato Breakfast Burrito”. I paid for a 3.50 “Grande Toasted Steak Breakfast Burrito”.

I would have thought after having the conversation at the speaker, they would have made sure it was correct. I was the only customer there at this time. So I think there was really no reason for my order to...
