For the price of the food this place should be a lot better. I felt the prices were too high for what you get. Steak prices were insane. The cost of the ribeye was 72 dollars. I had the chicken/rib dinner, which I think it was 32 dollars. It's just some chicken strips, a precooked quarter slab of ribs, that tasted like it was from the grocery store and some fries. This place is far from fine dining, and the meals were far from fine. My mother had the peaches and scallops, and while some what visual appealing, the taste was not. Heavy fishy taste from the scallops is a tell tale sign they were getting old and / or about to expire. Or they are not fresh but at one point frozen and thawed out. For the price it should be fresh. My dad and wife really enjoyed the mushroom soup, but everything else was subpar for price taste ratio. Went here for my birthday and was extremely disappointed with my decision to come here. 😞 my advice is if you do come here, take a look at the menu before committing to this place. I regret that I didn't. Like the old saying, you can put lipstick on a pig it's still a pig. IE, you can have a nice-looking restaurant and ambiance. But if the food is sub-par, it's just an expensive diner. I might have just had a bad meal or meals for our party, but we won't be back. For the cost of the meal we could have gone somewhere great.

So it was a pretty bad start our reservation isn't ready, try to wait, ask the host how long this is gonna be and she says these people have been here way over the allowed time. Tells the manager and says they need to go, manager says ok, walks over, pauses, gets cold feet, keeps walking and disappears. Couldn't effin believe it. Reserved the holiday themed area for a reason as we had family from out of town and wanted an extra special experience, so much for that. Sad thing is, that manager, that's it, him. Larger fellow about 6'2" reminded me of a character from a movie w/o courage. Anyway as we sit in the boring side, lamb chops were delicious, meatballs were disgusting, basically got the server to admit there is no wagyu in them. Filet mignon was cooked perfectly and very tender, great cut. Alaskan halibut was great. Cedar plank salmon exquisite. We did get a survey, and did fill it out, I never look for anything from my reviews as far as compensation the review is the review it's what we experienced. But they did send us a $25 gift as a result of that. Not sure when we'll be back, but will hold on to it. They did give us a credit for $17.00 I believe that was for the meatballs almost forgot.

We went here to celebrate my birthday this year and were pleasantly surprised. The food and drinks were all excellent and the service was lovely. We got The Girl Next Door and Strawberry Fields drinks, they were decently strong and well balanced, the real strawberries on the stick in the drink were perfect too, definitely worth it. We started with the J.Baldwin's Award-Winning Calamari, and while we were happy with it we weren't sure if we would get it again due to just how greasy/soggy they were but they were thick slices which made up for it a bit. The bread was one of the best parts of the meal. Our entrees, the Grilled Angus Sirloin Steak (Medium Rare) and Shrimp & Grits, were perfectly cooked and tasty. Having grits for the first time, it seemed to have a rather coarse texture, but it could very well be meant to be like that as im not well versed in that dish. The prices are somewhat costly, but I felt like the total was worth it for the quality and amount of food we got. Our waitress also gave us a lovely slice of Chocolate cake to celebrate. We absolutely plan to come back.

We took our family of 7 out for some special dining time together. Some of us are vegan and found the options were very slim, but they did have one or two choices. We happily settled on the vegan risotto. Wishing it was a little bigger of an entre for what you pay and it being rice and all. But so it goes in this area. Just thought JBaldwins would be different from the other restaurants around. We sat in the enclosed heated outdoor area decorated with twinkle lights. Between the fans pushing the heat around and the live music over the speakers, it wasn't the most comfortable experience we've had. We had to keep our coats on and yell lol. There's several tables out there, so trying to please everyone, I'm sure, is not easy. Our waiter seemed annoyed from the beginning. Might have been a bad day for him or it being extremely busy. There was still a line out the door when we left so prepare to make a reservation (which will have a required deposit) or wait a while. Overall, it was a good enough place to go to enjoy dinner life in Clinton Twp.

Went for King Lemonade (KL) birthday, and would you believe that "I" didn't make reservations! 🤯 We walked in, got seated right away, and the hostesses had a moment of "EW." She licked her fingers to grab the menus. But once we got seated, our food assistant was John, and he was a cool dude. We placed our appetizers order and food orders, KL ordered the calamari, but it was like they pulled it out the grease and served it. It didn't have any flavor or crunch to it on the coating, so we had to send it back. It took some time for us to get our main dishes, so I just knew our food was going to come out piping hot. When we did got our meals, his potatoes were cold, and my spinach and potatoes were cool but not cold. The lamb chops and the shrimp are what kept it at a 4 star for me. Overall, the experience was nice. I would like to hope that your meal, if you choose this spot, will be amazing. @according2teau 👽🦄

This is my second time here, the first time the wife and I both got the filet and dinner was great! Along with the service. This time my wife got the blackened steak bites and I tried the margarita thin crust pizza. We got the spinach and artichoke dip as an app. The app and steak bites were great, the steak bites were perfectly cooked , my pizza was good but could be better. The flavor was great but the undercarriage needed to be crispier. I think the problem is they put the pizza on a metal mesh slide in the stone oven so the bottom doesn’t crisp up enough vs if it was actually on the stone bottom of the oven. I feel like that’s important for thin crust margarita style pizzas. Our server was fantastic as always and we really liked the atmosphere here. I would recommend it for sure
