Johnnie's Bar & Grill - Clinton — Restaurant in Clinton Township

Located in the old Dan’s Tavern Johnnie’s is our newest restaurant in Clinton...the Irish Hills Clinton, not the overcrowded Clinton Township...big difference. Wife and I have been in several times and loved it. Located right in the center of town on US 12 (Michigan Ave)Johnnies is situated in one of the many historic turn of the century buildings that give Clinton its charm. On our last visit we noticed no vegetarian option...wife is all veggie. John the owner was there and thankfully heard us talking. Get this folks...not on the menu but they have the Beyond veggie burger! She prefers the Impossible burger but as you know is impossible to get now that they hooked up with Burger King😢. The burger was thicker than we remember from previous Beyond burgers and wonderful. Also had the chicken nachos...chicken on the side for me of course....which had an authentic home made look and taste. The grilled chicken pieces were well spiced and a generous portion. The decor is exposed brick...warm colors with a hint that you are in Michigan. Plenty of TVs if that’s your thing. We will be back many times...we can walk...

Was going thinking it was Dan's tavern, welp they changed the name? I thought, it was NOT a normal sports bar environment!!! Almost got up and left after the waitress brought out our drinks.Was very slow with bringing the food, burnt onion rings, chicken tenders tasted burnt as well... Not very many ppl there, now I know why! I would NEVER EVER go back. Thumbs down and for your comment if you were there then you must have been the one talking to everyone and not paying attention, as there was 3 tables. I'm a 10$ tipper, no matter if I order a burger. See how that's all you serve. Maybe get better staff and a manager that knows how to run a restaurant instead of your lips....... Sad to say but it was a childish environment and you'll never make it! Dan's in...

Just want to start off saying thank you for being a great stop when I came through. I had the pleasure of stopping here yesterday after driving past it for years and never stopping only because it just wasn't where we planned to go. I stopped and got the Chicken Beacon Ranch Wrap 🌯 which btw the bacon was amazing on it. Josie was an absolute pleasure and a dream to have as a server and bartender. Very sweet, friendly and accommodating. Even tried helping me charge my dead phone. I normally don't give 5 stars unless it was a 5...
