Thai Delight — Restaurant in Clinton Township

Awesome Thai food! My parents and I have been coming here for years and the food is always exceptional! Highly recommend the Kow Pad Pak (fried rice with vegetables) and you can add your choice of meat (I love the chicken or shrimp) for an additional charge. The Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai are awesome, too! I tend to stick with these dishes because I love them so much! So delicious! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for the best Thai food around! I have eaten at many other Thai restaurants and this is my favorite by far. I used to love Thai House on Gratiot before they closed many years ago, but this is right up there with them or better. One thing I used to order at the Thai House was a desert called Khao Tom Madt (banana with sticky rice) that was served warm in a banana leaf. It was incredible! I never mentioned this to the owner of Thai Delight, but if they added that to the menu I can guarantee it would be a hot seller. I hope they read this. However, it is not their fault they don’t have it on the menu as most Thai restaurants don’t, but it would really put the icing on the already...

The food is awful here. They reheat chicken because its drier then the desert and then they make it go swimming in the most watery sauce you ever did see. Literally more watery tasteless sauce then anything of substance in their honey chicken dish.

I gave this place two tries. Last time I got the pad thai which should be a staple of any Thai restaurant and they can't even get that right. Literally one type of vegetable in there which was onion and they give you a lemon instead of a lime which is once again a standard in Thai cooking from what I understand. Tasteless pad thai that I would never recommend.

Lastly the portions and prices. The prices are astronomical considering how little food they actually give you. This place just rips people off while serving bottom of the barrel food. Reheated, reused trash.

Ordered from a delivery service. Food was dry with no flavor and was WAY over cooked! I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai it had no flavor, dry, egg was rubbery, hardly any sprouts or scallions, 4 shrimp. My husband ordered fried rice. Again no flavor and the vegetables had a freezer burn taste to them. But a least he had vegetables in his dish. We also ordered pot stickers, over cooked, and won ton soup. Soup was loaded with vegetables which was a surprise because anytime I have had won ton soup it doesnt have any. Right before I submitted the ordered I saw I could order beverages, I added 2 Thai Iced Teas. They came in these cute little togo cups filled to the brim with ice. I guess I'm spoiled at our usual Thai food restaurant and I'm kicking myself for being lazy tonight!! The reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because we still ate it and haven't choked or died yet. But we will NEVER be ordering...
