One of the easiest, most fun, and exciting vendors to work with: Elysium Experience. After our initial consultation with Nicholas, who is extremely knowledgeable and plugged in with the wedding/event industry, we picked our custom DJ/lighting package. We then had the opportunity to watch demos of the available DJs for our big day, and we picked Mark White, though all of them sounded great. Erica Mathew, Elysium’s Operations Manager, was so easy to reach out to with any questions, requests, concerns, or clarifications we had during the entire planning process. She, along with many other associates, helped us decide on so many things we wanted, including the uplighting, layout, and beautiful satin pipe and drape. Not only was she so responsive, but she went above & beyond to make sure it was an actually enjoyable planning process. Mark was an absolute DREAM of a DJ and emcee. When Elysium provided a spreadsheet to fill out timeline info, as well as our music profile list, Mark was there to help and answer any questions we had. We met with Mark prior to the wedding to make sure we were on the same page, which helped us immensely. On the day of the wedding, the Elysium Experience personnel were the most professional, flexible, and truly kind people we could’ve asked for. We had numerous people there to help Mark set up, and they were all there to help with anything that came up. Mark coordinated with our planner and other vendors so seamlessly, neither of us had to worry about a single thing all day. Now, onto the music: Mark took exactly the kinds of genres, vibes, and songs we had in our music profile list, picked some of the best ones, and so amazingly mixed them together during our wedding reception. He truly understands the science and psychology that goes with the ebbs and flows of the evening. We never expected so many people to remain on the dance floor all night long, but to our surprise, everyone was having a blast with the vast array of music being played. Mark somehow always knew when to check in with my husband and I, whether that be asking us what we’d like or making eye contact during the first dance to fade it out slowly. He was legitimately so fun, and brought such a positive energy to the entire day. We are so grateful to both Mark and the entire Elysium Experience, and we couldn’t imagine our day without them.

And speaking of music, Nicholas's talent as a DJ is truly unparalleled. With an eclectic mix of tunes that catered to all tastes and ages, he had the dance floor packed from start to finish. It was a joyous celebration where not a single guest could resist the urge to dance (even my family who I’ve never seen dance at any wedding was up and grooving), thanks to Nicholas's expertly crafted playlists and infectious energy.

The Elysium Experience from the first phone call to the final meeting was outstanding! Nicholas is really passionate about what he does and it shows. You feel like a welcome guest in his studio (which feels more like a home) and not just like another client. We were really impressed by the mock reception area that he has set up in the back of the studio and the way he lets his work speak for itself. At the actual reception The Elysium Experience proved that brunch weddings can be just as fun as night weddings! We were convinced that since we do not really like to dance and our wedding was in the morning that all we needed was a pianist for our reception. About a month before the big day my cousin who is a photographer saw The Elysium Experience perform at another wedding. She was so impressed by them she insisted that I contact them to see if they were available. At the last minute, we made the decision to switch to The Elysium Experience and we could not be more happy with the decision. We believe that Nicholas and the team totally changed the tone of the wedding from what might have been a more subdue atmosphere, with just a pianist, to one where people were out of their seats enjoying themselves. I saw people on the dance floor that I have not seen dance a day in my life out there with smiles on their faces. All of that is attributed to Nicholas and the great job he does to make the crowd feel involved, comfortable, and welcome. All night I had people asking me about the entertainment and they could not believe what they experienced. It has been weeks since the wedding and I still have people asking me about the entertainment. Nicholas proved much to my surprise that you can have a brunch wedding where people are up out of their seats enjoying themselves. I even had myself convinced that I did not want to dance, but Nicholas had me dancing the entire time and I had an absolute blast. He even managed to work some Broadway, my favorite genre, into the song list!
