The Copper Kettle on M-59 has great homemade food. We started with the candied bacon and then tried the meatloaf and pecan chicken. everything was very flavorful. The Tuscan soup that came with my meal was surprisingly delicious. if you're in the area check them out. . . . . . #michigan #puremichigan #foodie #restaurant #food #macomb #clinton

Decided to try somewhere new and a little less busy for Sunday brunch. The interior was great for a modern family restaurant. Service was phenomenal, and you could tell there were a good amount of regulars there showing they know how to keep people coming back. I ordered the Garden Scramble, my friend ordered the Spinach and Feta Omelette, and we split the Charcuterie which is an appetizer but paired better as a dessert in my opinion. The Garden Scramble was good and fresh. For the $15 price I thought it would come with a side of hash browns or fruit but I’m not complaining, I just noticed a lot of lower cost options did in fact come with a side of your choice, so I was surprised when this entree didn’t. The charcuterie was a really fun and unique appetizer that certainly satisfied my sweet tooth. Loved the different dips you got to try, and great variety. No complaints on the Spinach and Feta Omelette either. Overall, a pretty good local spot with good prices and good food. Nothing blew me away other than the great service, but again no complaints here.

I was recently hired on behalf of Doordash to photograph some of the restaurant's menu items. Only open for a few days, I was impressed with the newly remodeled interior. More impressive was the staff. Natalie, the general manger is kind and caring. She was on the ball on getting out the food from the kitchen and explained the ingredients. I met the head chef Stacy. She has a wild imagination when it comes to ingredients and the names of the dishes like the three little pigs, chubby checker, The Edmond Fitzgerald, I like you elote, and the three amigos! The most impressive was the taste of the dishes. I had the three amigos tacos, The Lot Burger (I really like the caramelized pineapple) and The Edmond Fitzgerald Pizza. All three items were so good and and loaded with flavor. They have a large menu selection that I am sure will be whittled down once they know what is popular. Prices are very reasonable particularly for the area. Get ready to have your tastebuds satisfied and your tummy full. Please stop in and tell them you read my review.

This was our first time visiting, in town for the day. We arrived around 1:45 and there were plenty of open spots. Hostess asked if we preferred a table or booth, we said booth and she seemed at a loss for awhile about where to put us. We hadn’t even all gotten into the booth and our server (Jorden) was there asking us what we wanted to drink, he was friendly but it felt quite rushed when we hadn’t even sat down yet.

That theme continued for the rest of our visit. We were still waiting on one member of our party and within 30 seconds of him arriving Jorden was there asking if we were ready to order. We ended up getting an appetizer (calamari), which arrived quickly and was quite different but not bad. By the time it hit the table though, we had been asked 3x if we were ready to order even though we kept saying we’d like to wait until the appetizer got there.

Ordered, food was all good but some of it a little bland. By the time it arrived, we only had 2 sets of silverware for 4 people, and when we asked for more with the food sitting on the table, our server stopped to greet and seat new guests coming in on the way over to bring it which was frustrating with food sitting in front of you that you can’t eat. One entree arrived missing a side, he said he just didn’t grab it and came back with it about 5 min later. It clearly hadn’t been made which is not a huge deal, but not being honest about it isn’t a great look.

He stayed on top of refills for coffee/water for us, showed up promptly to clear our plates and drop off a bill, but never mentioned that he wouldn’t be cashing us out, we needed to go up to the counter. We were sitting and visiting for a bit after we had finished and our kiddo finished his meal, and it was very clear Jorden was ready for us to go based on him standing there staring at us. Again, not a huge deal but collectively all of these things made for a not great experience on a first visit. I’ve worked in the industry for decades and great service can fix so many things, but it’s a huge disappointment when it feels rushed and like someone isn’t concerned about anything but getting...

Your excuses don't get it!! Never thought I had to be concerned to read further when it comes to "Lake Perch". A fish we have in abundance in our own "Great Lakes"???? The basic badder was "very bad" even before you drowned it with "unpleasing spices" to hopefully make it taste better. Very Disappointing for sure!!! Truly didn't know you could ruin badder dipped fish so badly!! And, because I was hungry, it was all I could do to eat "barely" 1/2 of the meal and only one bite of the Cole Slaw. I didn't come there for a 10 % discount. I came expecting a good meal!! Hint, Hint, "Aunt Jamima" Pancake Mix makes a pretty good all around batter for deep frying. Maybe you want to try it. But you you're not alone. I find the quality in a lot of restraunts has dropped considerably ever since Covid first happened!! Maybe one day they will all realize that that's not the way to win back customers.

A friend and I went to the Copper Kettle on Saturday at 7pm for a quick dinner. Walked in and the awful smell of burnt, rancid, frying oil hit us in the face and was heavy in the air. That should have been my first clue. But I was hungry so I ordered the Batter Dipped "Lake Perch". (Didn't know you could ruin Battered "Lake Perch") Also ordered Tomato Basil Soup, and Coleslaw. What a big "mistake". Soup was way over spiced. Coleslaw was not fresh that day. Had an old "bla" taste and was room temp. And was not "cool" as if from the fridge. At least 1 day old. But the Perch arrived and it was the biggest disappointment! Fish was much too big to be "Lake Perch" period!! Was probably cheap Pollock passed off as Lake Perch, because of the price!! Did not resemble Perch in texture, taste, or size. Brown and over-fried "crusty" batter on outerside. Looks as if oil was too hot. Which explains the smell in the air when we walked in. They also decided to add heavy spices the Badder. It over powered the fish. Was a just plain awful taste!! My friend had an equally bad meal. But, to pass off an "imitation" fish, as Lake Perch for the extra dollars. That's cheating and pretty low!! Will...

So we’ve been here a few times, and every time until this has been pretty good. This time our server wasn’t present, it wasn’t busy and it took forever for our food. She just dropped it off and never came back to check on us. Our food was cold, the ice browns were literally ice cold in the middle. Finally at the end of our meal I flagged our server and down and she came over, I told her they were told and she said ‘well can I get you something else?’ And I was like ‘no she’s not going to eat it because we’re done eating’ then i asked for just the hash browns to be taken off even though we literally barely ate any of the food because it wasn’t good. Her response was ‘well they’re incorporated into the cost of the food’ and myself, being a server KNOW there’s always an option for an adjustment to be done if your customer isn’t satisfied. She came back a few minutes later and said ‘so my manager said we can do something for you’ then she handed us the bill and told us the amount reflected on the bill wasn’t what it was going to be but she couldn’t take it off until we paid. We said alright, the bill was $29 and some change, when she brought us back our copy it was $27 and some change, so they took off like $1.50. Needless to say, it really didn’t sit well and we...
