Zorbas Family Dining — Restaurant in Clinton Township

To whom it may concern, this is my first time trying this place and unfortunately I won’t be back. I ordered French Toast and added strawberries and whipped cream with an order of turkey sausage patties. The woman who answered the phone over talked me almost the entire time that I could barely get a word of my order out. She also had to ask one of the staff if they had “Strawberry French toast”. I thought that was weird considering it’s a breakfast place, even if it isn’t on the menu you should be able to add strawberries and whipped cream to French toast. Anyways, I requested that my whipped cream be on the side for obvious reasons of not wanting soggy French toast when I got to my destination. When I did arrive to my destination (3 minutes away from Zorbas) my whipped cream was melted with unidentifiable black specks in it. My strawberries on top of my French toast were so mushy and rotten looking, I couldn’t believe that someone looked at my food and deemed it okay. I’ve been to plenty of breakfast and brunch places and have never had French toast this bad. In all honesty and no disrespect to this establishment but I could’ve bought a box of frozen French toast and been happier. My turkey sausage patties also tasted funking and were very rubbery. The food is good which is why I eat here but they don’t seem to like black people after today I will never return keep in mind everytime I go I spend $40-50 just on take out. I go every Saturday and today just blew over the line, first when we walked in the lady immediately emptied her tip jar like we were going to steal it. Going past that my little brother ordered first his meal was 11$ the lady shakes the tip jar like it’s mandatory we give her a tip even tho she wasn’t friendly at all she act like we don’t have the money to order what we want telling us the price we already know so then we ordered our food for $42 plus I tipped her cus she wanted to ask am I tipping on the card I work in the restaurant business too so you do not ask for tips people give thats how it goes. Most terrible service and food by far. Waitress was rude and ignored me when i stated there was hair in my food. They charged me $9 for 4 pieces of bacon. $4 for 2 plain strawberries. I was explaining to the kitchen ‘manager’ what was going on with my food and told her i will pay for everything else no issue but im not paying for the food with the hair. And i said ok thats fine. Then she proceeds to say im taking it off what else do you want me to do, never said anything else to her at all. Moments after i pay my bill, the cook comes out of the kitchen acting tough towards my boyfriend because we complained about our food telling him ‘you dont want any of this’.
