The Nail — Restaurant in Clinton Township

Overall, my experience here was not good. It was a Saturday night and the place was barely even packed. There were only 3 people working FOH (Front Of the House), so some of the bartenders were also servers. So when my server came to the table, I ordered some food and a drink. Afterwards, I waited and waited, and still no drink. I went outside for a bit, come back and my food is there, but still no drink. So I had to tell my server/bartender about this, mind you this was 30 minutes after ordering it. I wasn't expecting much from the food because this place probably isn't know for their food, but the chicken tenders that I ordered didn't taste at all like chicken or at least it didn't have the crunchiness to it. Later on I ordered another drink, drank half of it and left my table for a little bit. Come back to see our whole table was cleared off and the place was closing early or something (thus why they were in such a hurry to bus all the tables). Went to go pay my bill and gave them a low tip because well... of their craft service as described earlier. Later I hear before leaving from my friend that the staff weren't happy at our table's tips for them, but I tip no matter what, but it increases with better and kind service which this place lacked of. Unbelievable and unprofessional to ever hear that, they should be thankful that we even gave them a tip at all. This place is a dive and the only reason why I came here was to support my one friend's band, but after this experience I am never coming back, and I don't want this review to sound like a whiny demanding customer type like other reviews I see, but my voice and my experience here need to be...

•The waitress was extremely nice and friendly. She helped me decide on a new drink order, since I wanted to try something different from what I always get. She even said she'd make sure the bartender made it the "good way," because it varies a lot. •The con was that there was a rock band playing that night and it was LOUD. Painfully so. It's not a huge building, but we weren't sitting by the stage and I still felt like I was standing directly in front of a speaker at a concert. I'm all for live music. They weren't even a bad band! But this was just invasive. I had gone there with an old friend whom I hadn't talking to in years, to catch up. Instead of a nice chat, I spent the 40 min we were there screaming to be heard and plugging my ears as subtly as I could (it wasn't subtle). My advice would be to definitely check before you go, see what's going on that night, and don't just swing in off the street expecting a quiet bar (like we did). The Rum Runner was...

Very disappointed with the staff . I walk in and the bar tender is on her "cigarette break" so I wait 20 mins for her to come back . She comes up and accused me of skipping out on the tab the last time I was there and accused me of not coming in to avoid paying 24 dollars .I make enough momey to pay for what i deink . I haven't been to that bar in over a month . She's a liar and basically robbed me of my money and said I "owes" her . She's very unprofessional so I said without arguing here's your little 20 dollars and I walked out and she said nasty words to me . It's the blonde old looking lady . She's just great. And is VERY nice to her customers lol something needs to be done with that mess. So...
