The food is great and the staff are wonderful! However, the past several times we have tried to call in an order we have struggled to have anyone pick up the phone. We are constantly getting busy signals or messages from Verison saying the number is busy. After the busy signals when we would try to call for a fourth or fifth time (again we do really like the food !) we would simply get one ring and then the other side of the line would automatically hang up. I can understand the staff being busy, but after 5 calls in one night and not once person picking up to either take our order or put us on hold, we are kind of turned off from this place now. It wouldn't be an issue if it hadn't of happened on four separate occasions now. If you get the chance to order then you absolutely should ! Went with my friends for a sit down lunch on MLK day, which the restaurant was conviently open on. Coming in, the atmosphere, which was colorful and summery, really sold the idea of California burritos, which perfectly described the food. DON'T come in expecting authentic Mexican food, they don't even have pork on the menu! There was ample seating, even with a medium crowd. Instead, be prepared for huge stuffed missionary burritos with seafood, steak, and chicken. I had their namesake, the Baja Burrito with a side of chips and guac. Food was pretty decent, especially since I got so much for only $13. Only real complaint was that the salsa bar was limited, watery, and flavorless, but they have a awesome hot sauce collection to make up for heat. Very good food and service at Baja Burrito. This location has a spacious indoor dining that is nicely decorated with a fun southern theme design inside. The portions are good and the butritos even come with some nacho chips when ordered. What we enjoyed best of the order is that the food is made to order and tasted fresh and authentic. We ordered a few chicken rice bowls and burritos. The nachos are perfectly done with perfect amount of salt and the mild salsa is excellent. The chicken in the burritos are grilled but lacked a bit of spice and flavor. Otherwise this place is a five star. I will certainly be back and recommend trying them out. Very friendly...
