Charm Aesthetics Spa & Boutique — Local services in Clinton

My first time here. Booked for a 60 minute spa pedicure with a massage. The massage was for my feet and legs. Alissa was my tech. She was very sensitive to my requests, no clipping of my nails, just cuticles. No calluses scrubbing, as I have none. She listened! She also asked if I was allergic to anything before applying. Great! But at the 40 minute mark, my 60 minutes were up. A bit more effort and a little more massage to fill the hour I had booked would have been appreciated. I felt like I was not given the full treatment as advertised. The world is full of skimping, this was another example of not getting what you were promised! After confirming my appointment via text. I was sent another text, and I quote: ' Thank you for confirming! Reminder, cash tipping is the preferred method of gratuity. Really? There are a million different ways to eloquently say this! I have not even had a service, and I was already asked to tip!? When I brought up that text about tipping to the owner, Julia, I was basically dismissed. She told me they only give you 100 characters to respond in a text. How about, 'If you've enjoyed your services today and would like to leave a gratuity, cash is our preferred method.' Said in 18 words, 82 characters!!!!! I am a consultant to improve services for small businesses and large companies. The owner needs to rethink some things.... lots of other day spas out there, 8 to be exact in Clinton alone. Not really a good first time...

I have been going to Charm for years now and can't say enough about it. Beautiful spa located in quaint downtown Clinton with great services by skilled and friendly technicians and staff.

Hilda is the nail technician I have been going to for years and she has such pride in her work and it shows. She listens to my needs, but more importantly, she is an expert and is diligent in making my experience and nails perfect! She is truly cares about her trade and her clients.

Maria is the Esthetician/Sugarist I go to and she is outstanding. She answers my questions and provides the best personalized facials. It is so important to me that I trust my esthetician and she made me feel comfortable from the start. My skin has improved since going to her. I simply want to say thank you to Nanda and her team -- and especially Hilda -- for the "discovery" I experienced at Charm Aesthetics recently! While many men would never treat themselves to a manicure -- let alone a pedicure -- I suggest they rethink that! Hilda is extraordinary!! Warm, sincere, friendly and funny, she showed me how to relax, laugh and love this first-time event, as she transformed my worn and unsightly fingernails and just plain ugly toes into works of art second to none! In fact, she made me the charm of the pool party I went to on Cape Cod three days later! So treat yourselves like I did, guys -- we deserve it!
