Long John Silver's | KFC — Restaurant in Clinton

We went to LJS/KFC in Clinton 6/23/18 @ 9:30pm. We were in Clinton, IA visiting family, we are from Chicago and on our way out of town we stopped of course. (We don’t really have a LJS by us that we can just go to often) They didn’t have chicken planks fresh the lady told us that she would be glad to give us some KFC chicken, I told the lady in the drive thru that we drove pretty much 3 hours (yes we visited family but made a point to get LJS before we left town) so we waited... The manager (He was a male very kind had a piercing, I think maybe light hair I don’t reme his name) personally brought out our food, he explained to us that he had been working there since he was 16 and in the old building (which is the cousins restaurant now) he made our food SO AMAZING and so fresh and personally thanked us for our stop. He apologized for the wait (which I’m ok with because we wanted fish and chicken and especially hush puppies) they were so nice there thank you Clinton LJS for making yet again another...

Got a coupon for fish in the mail. Drove down to get it and was informed that they had changed their prices today and they didn't have to accept coupon if it didn't ring right in computer. What? Drove to window and asked for some crumbs since they didn't put any in last time. Was told no, they charge extra for them now. For something they would just throw out. Got my food, and the fish pieces literally looked like they were cut in half from last time I was there. Fish was very thin, probably a half inch or less. More breading than fish, and greasy. Was never greeted or thanked for my business. This place needs a visit from corporate to explain how the customer is the whole reason they have a job. So dissatisfied, especially with the tiny fish...

Ordered two 3 piece chicken and one 2 piece chicken. I didn't pay for the 2 piece until I went in, however, they gave me fish the first time. Went inside, and they told me I'm looking at it wrong and that it's chicken. (It wasn't) then they gave me a 2 piece fish when I specified I only wanted chicken. Told me I wasn't clear at the drive-thru nor in person. I apologized for any miscommunication and was willing to repay for the correct food. I was told I couldn't order additional hushpuppies despite getting them in my meal because they didn't have any at all. Frustrated and can't eat what they gave me because I did. Not. Order. It. But it's my fault for their hearing problems. The photo is the fish they claimed...
