I am a regular at Nite-Cap (my husband and I go about 2 times a week and I order the same thing every time). Today, my pizza (which I usually absolutely love) was raw. I asked the waitress to please have them cook it a little longer. As she was attempting to take it into the kitchen, Steve, the owner, stopped her and told her that he would not allow that. The waitress came back to my table with the bill and the pizza. I told her in its state, I’m not paying for it and I don’t want it, but I want to talk to Steve (the owner). At first, he refused, and sat at the end of the bar (boy, he sure respects his customers, doesn’t he?). He finally came to my table. I informed him that I am a regular and I order this exact pizza every single time I come and it’s never this raw. He replied with “I’ve been doing this for 43 years and if I make another one it’s going to be the exact same”. I told him that’s not the case because this is what I get every single time. He grabbed the pizza and said he will remake it, but he’s going to make it the same exact way, and he’s going to put it in a box. Well, it did not come in a box, and it was absolutely perfect and delicious (like how it usually is). I am absolutely disgusted in Steve’s (the owners) behavior. The fact that he wouldn’t come and talk to me at first was pretty cowardly. The pizza was underdone. No big deal, just cook it a little longer. I don’t understand his actions to a very regular customer. My family got me $220 in gift certificates. The fact that he owns the business makes me want to not go back. However, I love the waitresses. I’m not sure what I’m going do at this point, but I sure would love an apology from Steve (but I’m sure that’s not going to happen anytime soon). Steve, why would you treat a regular customer the way...
Read moreMy family and I have ordered out here 2-3 times a week for the last year!! Their pizza is Great! Tonight though.... I was treated terribly! The waitress (who I tipped over 25%) got our to-go order wrong. That happens, NO BIG DEAL! (They put onions instead of mushrooms and gave us 6 chicken wings instead of 8) So I call, let the waitress know it's wrong, and they say they will remake it. I ask her if she'd like me to bring the original order back. (Because even though it's their mistake I have no problem with that) She says no don't worry about that! So being that it's 8:00pm I let my 5 and 8 year old have 3 of the wings and pick the onions off a slice for my 5 year old. (The 8 year old still refused to touch anything with onions) Then 5 minutes later they call me and say "you need to bring everything back!" I told them I had already given some of it to my children. I was met with well if you want us to remake it we need everything back! (KEEP IN MIND, THEY MESSED UP THE ORDER) I was then told by the waitress "well some of the customers said they heard you say onions too!" (Umm, why on earth were the customers talking about my order?? Were you talking about me with them? I'd never say onions because I don't eat them! Lol.) I then walk in and the entire place has something to say to me! WTH?? Where am I right now? Multiple customers said something to me, like I was a bad guy!! I love this place why are you treating me like I've done something wrong??? As I was leaving I was also told that my attitude sucks! What? Is this real life? So...
Read moreDisappointed with the food and service. The male owner is very arrogant and treats his employees terribly. They have a hard enough job without the owner constantly harping on them and demanding that he be served first above all customers when he walks in with his friends and when there's only one bartender in the entire establishment. I've seen this done both at this place, and he also owns the Mountain Inn on North Dort highway. I'll never go to either establishment just because of the owner's arrogance towards other people and his employees. They...
