Went here for my husbands birthday celebration yesterday with some friends and was so beyond disappointed In the way the staff conducted themselves. We bought two races a piece for each guest and during the first race I was hit by someone very hard on a turn and thrown under the wheel barrier. The staff was not paying attention as this incident occurred and didn’t even see me off to the side. Finally he acknowledged me and turns the red light on and comes over screaming at me, “get out, get out now” I just asked why and tried to get him to explain why, he again yelled at me and said “take your seatbelt off and get out, you’re out of the race”. Not only did you embarrass me to the point of tears but you made me waste my money. Yes, I went under the tires but if you guys paid attention you would clearly see that it was the idiot behind me’s fault. He clearly wasn’t breaking on his turns. You say no bumping but the short time I was in there, people bumped each other nonstop. And then you take me out due to someone else’s inability to listen to the rules. YOU WASTED MY MONEY. Then My group started in the second race and my friends helmet flew off on the first lap because someone blasted into her and she was escorted out in a very rude manor. The set of rules you have in place are garbage. You’re charging steep prices just to take people out for unnecessary reasons. Some things are out of participants control. We can only hold ourselves accountable. Why should we have to waste our money and be escorted out because other people rammed into our go karts. You can’t just pick and choose which rules you are going to enforce. You let people bump into others and make the person who made no error leave the track. It would have been different if I actually was putting others in danger and not following the rules but I was doing everything correct, or else I would take accountability. My husband was so upset that the whole birthday celebration at your facility was a miserable experience. I shared how upset I was with the front desk person and was met with no empathy and she was extremely rude and dismissive. I also approached an older management member and he just said it doesn’t matter whose fault anything is they just take you out. 🙄 You need to come up with better procedures and get a more sympathetic and kind staff. I won’t be returning because I was made to feel like less...
Read moreI have a few items to clarify. First off, the young lady working was super nice, but she was simply overwhelmed. We actually had LESS people come than what we thought. I was heading it up, we were sold on 3 races because they averaged 6 minutes. So when we arrived, the only other people there were the ones on the track. So I figured 36 minutes of race time, maybe a little more if our kids group was broke into two, plus some time in between. But after almost two hours, we had done ONE race for each, and we had to combine kids and parents to get everyone their first cycle. I get that there were other reservations, we didn't mind that, but we were never told that 1) you had a no refund policy (I don't count the tiny 3 by 4 inch sign well away from where I was doing all the paperwork, or 2) that it would take anywhere NEAR the time it was taking. Had we stayed through the entire extent of our races paid, we would've easily been looking at 7:00. 4 hours of waiting to run 18 minutes of races for kids, and 18 minutes for adults. I'm not sure who would be ok with that time frame.
In addition, I was the one speaking with the young lady. I didn't say I didn't want the card for future credit, but I said I wanted to speak to the owner by phone to see if they'd give a refund given the circumstances. I also didn't have time to wait for her to figure out what went to whom, so I said let's figure that out later. But the most disappointing thing of all is here we are, 4 days after I left my info, and nobody has returned the call that they were supposed to return. That to me is just puzzling. We wanted to give a small town business some revenue, but when we saw the reality of the time it was taking, it was not realistic. The races themselves were fun, but the staff inside was not sufficient, and the kids running the go karts were less...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I decided to visit your establishment for the first time on Saturday February 12, 2022 at 4:15pm. Upon our arrival, there was a young man standing behind the counter. He did not acknowledge us or attempt to service us, probably because he was too busy speaking to someone on FaceTime. We stood for a few moments, waiting for the employee to end his conversation and assist us, but he never did. Instead, he continued talking to whomever he was on the phone with. As if the poor customer service was not enough, what he said next was even worse. To whomever he was speaking to on the phone, he laughed and said, “N**, you funny!” Regardless of what he feels or what you feel personally about white people using the N-word is neither here nor there. Bottom line, as a professional at work–and in the type of climate we are in as a people today–it should not have been said. It was blatant disrespect that was laughed off, and it is unacceptable. I question how often this language is used so freely in your establishment. Your employees' words made my boyfriend and I very uncomfortable. But because we felt the employee wanted us to react irately to him using the N-word, we went about our plans to enjoy our date. It also appeared that his co-worker was uncomfortable also, judging by the look on her face! From the looks of your website and social media, I see that you have had a few Black customers. Is this how Black customers at Extreme Indoor Kart Racing are viewed–as? Black people are spending their money just like everyone else, and to be racially insulted while just trying to have a good time is offensive and...
