7/21/17 We usually have a great experience at the Clive location... this time it was 100 percent horrible start to finish. The greeter forgot to bring the 2 kids menu which is no big deal however then instead of delivering them to our table he reached over a wall that is about 4-5 foot from our table so I had to stretch and grab them and then he proceeded to throw 2 crayons on the table. It was unprofessional and weird but whatever. We then had over a 45 minute wait for food while we watched tables seated well after us get their food. They clearly forgot our order. Then my Sunnyside up burger was served with a very raw egg on top, not even close to being cooked and the egg whites ran over my plate when I pulled it off. After waiting 45 minutes I was not willing to wait for another. About 10 minutes later she said the manager insisted she bring a new egg out however I did not accept it as I was done with my burger already. At this point I wasn't happy and paid full price as they didn't adjust the bill for their mess up. The computer deal at the table pushed paper through for my receipt but didn't actually print ink on the paper. Then, I tried to leave a survey and their computer thing at the table was going crazy and flipping between screens so im not sure if my survey went through. Again, usually we have a good experience but this time we definitely did not. No visit from the manager after a couple mess ups, long wait, food undercooked, messed up computer system.... mistakes happen, but I felt they did not do enough to retain me as a customer they...
Read moreOne star because the salsa is tasty. This review is not based on the service we received. I should have taken a picture but didn't. This place was DIRTY! The (male) bathroom was dirty. The tables were sticky and dirty. The seats (benches in a booth) were dirty and cramped. There was liquid, food chunks, and sauce of some kind on the seats. I asked for some napkins to wipe the mess off of the seats and they gave me a stack and walked away. No apology, no 'let me get that', nothing--no one seemed to care. As you look into the kitchen from the bathroom entrance you can see food and trash strewn accross the floor with workers sloughing through it, kicking food out of the way as they go about their business. The food was a little too pricey. The "Boss Burger" is a joke and a complete mess. The hotlink on top of that thing made my 15yo lose his appetite (the taste made him want to vomit lol). I found it tough and had to remove it. There was way too much crammed between such little bread causing the whole thing to fall apart. They put shredded lettuce on it rather than whole leaf which contributed to the burger's failing structural integrity. I noticed after they bussed the table next to us, there was still (unsurprisingly) trash left on the table. A little present for the next customer I suppose. I would not go back to this Chili's again. Most likely I will not eat at any Chili's restaurants based on my experience here. We still left a $14 tip out of pity for the kid that has to work in that rat-hole, and because he did a good...
Read moreI don't usually write harsh reviews but this place is a joke. First, this is the only Chili's I've ever been to that doesn't have country fried steak on its menu. That was the whole reason we went there. Second, I don't like their fries anymore so I asked to get mashed potatoes and gravy instead and we ordered honey mustard with the chicken crispers. Waitress said no problem. She brought out our food with no honey mustard and ranch instead and plain mashed potatoes. She went back to get the honey mustard and gravy and returned to terll us they are all out of gravy. Are you kidding? I don't know if she was aware before hand or if the kitchen doesn't let the waitresses know they are out of something so the customer can get something else instead or what was going on there. She was not friendly at all. But she seemed very unconcerned about it and basically said "we're all out, too bad." I was not happy because who wants their plain potatoes that are sticky and weird? They were not very friendly at all. I'm easy to please - just be nice/friendly and refill our drinks and if you're out of something, let me know and fix the situation. I tip very well if you do those things, above the standard 20%. As we were leaving, one waitress was sitting on a stool in the aisle talking to some customers, blocking the path and looked at us like were interrupting her by trying to pass. I've never been so unimpressed. Chili's used to be one of my faves. I'll try not to let this particular...
