I’ve had my fair share of chicken shawarma sandwiches. I can say this spot did not win me over. Perhaps sandwiches taste differently region to region, but this was just ok. The garlic sauce tasted like it was made with mayonnaise. Not the pickles I’m used to getting in the sandwich. And I’ve never had iceberg lettuce on any of my sandwiches. The baklava was a true disappointment. It was soggy and over priced for sure! One piece was $3. The guy was friendly which was why I’m giving him 3 stars. Really should be two stars for the food.

To the Owner: Thank you for the offer. As I mentioned, I was visiting Iowa and I have returned home. When I visited your truck I said to your directly, I hoped your food is as good if not better than what I am used to getting at home. You were confident I would be pleased, which was why I purchased 4 chicken Shawarma, 1 beef and 2 baklava. I truly trusted the reviews and your word that the food was amazing. Perhaps I will bring you a sandwich from my two favorite places here so you can see while the sandwiches have their own personalities, they are very different, yet still taste great. Thought I would give this place a try after reading the reviews. I shouldn't have. People should be honest. Tastes may vary I understand, but this food was not good at all. Aside from being slathered in that sauce, the chicken has zero taste. What a disappointment.

So good! My husband and I stopped for the first time tonight and both enjoyed beef shawarma, along with the fried potato kibbeh. Both were outstanding. Super fresh tasting and well seasoned. We’d never had the opportunity to try either before and really enjoyed tasting new flavors.
