The Ducktail Lounge — Restaurant in Clive

Great bar with great staff (Callah is an amazing bartender!) and great selection of different whiskeys and other drinks. Patio is comfortable and warm if you need to make trips outside when you’re drinking!

We hadn’t been out to Ducktail in a while and ran into the new owner who gave us a couple drink tokens - but we ended up staying for a few more! He was a super nice guy and seems to be running the place really well.

Music is good, but not loud to make things uncomfortable and make conversation impossible like many places these days.

If you’re looking for a place to grab a drink in the entire metro area, Ducktail Lounge is an amazing choice and should be at the top of your list.

My husband and I and another couple arrived at 7 pm on a Friday evening. We were enjoying our first round of drinks. Other patrons seemed friendly and our server was attentive. Around 8 pm a group of people arrived at the bar that took over the area on the other side of the bar where we were sitting. So I'm here on business, place looks half way decent but the carpet is in the entire establishment, and it's a bar so many drinks have been spilled here that it smells like a moldy basement, kareoke is tonight Monday and the speakers on the porch are louder then whats inside. There's no base and the dj doesn't know how to run his own equipment. Should be tuning in every singer and he just sets it at one vocal. Definitely will not be back just because the smell.
