This weekend we had a wonderful midday celebration at our home for 40 people. We picked up the meticulously and beautifully prepared delicious platters and bagels from Wally’s in Closter. Ordering was easy and the owner had excellent advice on what to order and what the cost options are for re. I felt comfortable texting him afterwards but decided to also share my thoughts here: Wally: Just wanted you to know everything was great and you got many compliments. Many people asked where we got the food. It was soooo good and well presented. We got exactly what we ordered plus he threw in a few free extras! Thank you very much for making our day extra special and easy. Dan

Would I Go Here Again: NO Would I suggest to a friend: NO Went inside and asked for machiato I was told they dont have machiato, but they do have espresso machine. Obviously, person. Working there doesn't know what machiato is. Ordered capucino. Got charged $3.99 for it while the displayed price clearly says $2.04 (on my picture). The guy was taking his time, waited 10 min for 2 coffees. Didnt argue, paid and never again. Bacon , egg and cheese on bagel was OK

I don’t want to give any star. I cannot believe this is a toasted beagle. It’s burnt. If you eat something burnt like this, you'll get cancer. They didn't even look at it and explained that it usually came out like this because the toast machine is hot. It doesn't make sense. I feel like I'm being denied the toast bagels I've been eating.

I used to come here for years when it was Goldberg's bagels.. they got sold to wally's and things have never been the same. A few weeks ago ordered a Western Omelette for my boyfriend. Other than the Omelette, we both ate the same thing. That night he got food poisoning (I didn't), he was sick all week.

Didn't go back for awhile after that, until i was looking for a place where i can get sliced deli meat sandwiches. Went to get bologna and roast beef. They specifically have on their online menu for the Closter location that they have bologna. When I go to order they are out. Not a big deal, I'll get bologna at the supermarket and just get a roast beef. After going to the market and adding the bologna, i noticed that the roast beef was really small... maybe it was a small chunk of roast beef. I drop off the sandwich.. and get a message asking me what kind of sandwich it is.. I said it's supposed to be roast beef and bologna.. he said nope it's pastrami. Fail number 2.. doubt i will try again for a third failure. Wally's was actually better before they expanded to the 2 store fronts, they were slow, but...

I didn’t think ordering bagels would be so difficult until I came to this wondrous mix of a mess. Wally’s Bagel Nosh not only features hand rolled, kettle boiled, baked fresh daily bagels, bialys and flagels with an array of flavored cream cheese to top, but they also include loathsome customer service, yelling, rolling of eyes, sighing and grumbling with an array of condescension to top. Came here with family to enjoy a simple bagel breakfast, not to be showered with disrespect and instructions on “how to order better.” One particular worker liked to express his voice by shouting from behind the countertop, demanding what kind of bread we wanted. Another specialized in being aggressive, so when we kindly asked him to calm down, he became whiny and petulant, insisting that he was calm. In hindsight, I wanted to thank Wally and his associates for making my experience here much more affordable. I have always wanted to go to Ringling Bros. but...

I would give zero stars if I could! First time coming here, the service was so slow and they still got the order wrong even though I was the only customer in the building. While waiting for my food, another customer came in complaining of the service (same reasons I explained above) so I should have took this as a sign to walk out. After a little time passed, I decided to give this establishment another try (more so because it was the only place open earlier than 9 in the area). Not only was the service horrible...again, but my bagel must have been made with a blindfold on. I ordered a Taylor ham and cheese with spk, only to receive a bagel that had literally two pieces of Taylor ham on the whole thing, cheese that looked like it was squeezed out of a hot dressing packet, and an egg (that I did not order) that was so runny it seemed half raw. Also, my freshly squeezed orange juice had at least 10...
