Busy busy busy bees over here at this brewery! We did have a wait longer than expected so don't expect to just roll up here and get a table because they're in cute, little, Cloudcroft. But! People are coming for good reason! First off, the brewery has style! It's got some climbing plants in the back and wonderful lighting. Didn't see much of the inside the patio felt nice! Nice enough that I loved being out there even in the pouring rain. My husband and I came and sat to get a flight of beers and some pizza (we'd heard some pretty good things about this pizza). We got the flight first and all the beers were good! Clean, no off-flavors, and tasting true to their descriptions. My favorites were out of the food were the Viking Barley Wine & the Orange Blossom Mead. The barley wine was my favorite. Tasted rich and dark but just enough dark because it opened up into a soft light flavor like the sky. It was alcohol strong (12.8%) but warm like amaretto and very much like smores over a campire. The Orange Blossom mead smells heavenly! It smells like honeysuckles in the spring. Sipping it, has a light fizz, but very alcohol forward. It's the first thing you taste, strong, like a spirit. It breaks way into floral flavors and sweetness and ends warmly. The Zia Pie took a while to get to us, so I'm not sure if it was the anticipation, the starvation, or they have a curandera working spells onto all the food, but it was đ€đ»đ€đ»đ€đ». Man, I was worried because the crust looked slightly burnt but that crust was like god had made a cracker. It was HOT and crunchy but the bite gave way to steam, and pizza bread flavor. It was so good! Chorizo and green Chile are just next tier toppings! The chorizo wasn't overcooked either. Do wish it could've had more green chile. Cheese was yuuuuuum. There were pools of delicious pizza grease hidden in the slices (don't pretend you don't love pizza grease). My husband who loves to pretend cilantro tastes like soap scarfed down the pieces, all topped with fresh cilantro. The cilantro really was just delicious on top! Seriously, if you're in Cloudcroft, go. It is delicious. You'll love it. 10/10...
   Read moreDear Cloudcroft Brewery Team,
Iâve been a loyal customer for years and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere you provide. I often recommend your establishment to friends and family, which is why I was so disappointed with my recent experience on April 26th.
That evening, I brought a group of 11, including family visiting from Oklahoma. I had been raving about your pizza all day and was genuinely excited for them to try it. We arrived at 8:25 PM, well aware that your kitchen closes at 9 PM. The host informed us that she wasnât sure she could seat a party of our size before the kitchen closed. I told her we were willing to wait, confident that we had enough time to order and eat since they close at 10PM.
Soon after, three four-top tables opened up in the front dining area. I approached the host again and offered to split our group into smaller parties and sit separately, with separate checks, to make it easier on the staff. She declined and said we couldnât be seated separately because âyouâll naturally get up and talk to each other.â Iâm still not sure what she meant by that, and to be honest, I didnât understand where the problem was â we were being flexible and respectful of the time limits, and we were doing everything we could to try to get seated.
What made the situation even more disheartening was watching a couple walk in after us and be seated right away. We were then told we could order food to-go and eat outside, which was not the experience I had hoped to give my family. At that point, I asked to speak with someone else, as I didnât feel we were being treated fairly, and after her lengthy conversation with another employee, we were finally offered seating â but by then, we were too upset and left hungry, returning to Alamogordo to find somewhere else to eat.
This was a really disappointing experience, especially considering how much Iâve supported and enjoyed Cloudcroft Brewery over the years. Iâm sharing this because I care about the reputation of your business and hope youâll consider how this kind of treatment can affect both loyal locals and...

Brace yourself cause this is a long one thatâs how bad it wasâŠ
We waited over an hour just to be seated. Once at our table, it took more than 20 minutes for a server to even take our drink order. To save time, we placed our food order along with the drinks. Another 30 minutes passed with no drinks and no appetizer. A different waitress eventually took over our table, and we hoped things would improveâunfortunately, they didnât.
It turns out our original server never even put in our food order. After nearly an hour and 40 minutes, we finally received our pizzasâonly to find that three items from our order were missing. The new waitress asked what was missing and had to put those items in again because they had never been prepared in the first place.
When the remaining pizzas arrived 20 minutes later, one of them was still wrongâit was missing jalapeños. I let the server know, and she replied with attitude, saying she could just bring them on the side. I agreed, expecting cooked or at least pickled jalapeños, but instead got raw, uncooked ones to top my pizza myself.
At that point, we asked to speak to a manager. No one came to our table for another 15 minutesâno refills, no check-ins, nothing. I finally had to get up and find our server to insist on speaking with the manager. Her attitude was dismissive and unapologetic, even though the mistakes were entirely on their end.
When the manager did come, she was very understanding. She apologized repeatedly, offered a discount, and even said she would comp the meal. We declined a free mealâwe werenât looking for handouts, just basic courtesy and decent service. I also told her that the waitressâs attitude was unacceptable after messing up multiple times.
In short, I would not recommend this place. The wait times are excessive, the service is careless, and even after nearly two hours, our food was still incorrect. Save yourself the trouble and...
