Burro Street Bakery — Restaurant in Cloudcroft

Language, in general, is insufficient in relaying the amazingness that is the Orange Cream Frappe. I was just after something wet, cold, and a little sweet and chose this drink at random. What the Burro Street Bakery served me was all that, plus magic and refreshment. I saw cubed ice and liquids go into the drink, but the immersion blender wizard behind the counter rendered a concoction so perfectly smooth that I would have believed had come from a soft-serve machine had I not watched the entire process with my own eyes.

We also had a Boston Cream pastry. It wasn't a cake, filled donut, or turn-over, so I have trouble describing exactly the texture of the pastry that supported the chocolate and cream layers. The result, however, was a wonderful marriage of flavors that managed to be completely indulgent without being overly sweet. I'm already busy trying to work a stop through Cloudcroft into future roadtrips so we can arrive earlier and try more...

This bakery is THE place to go. Being a bus driver, I was extremely tired, and so I walked into this bakery, and the gentlemen fixed me up with a good butter pecan latte.. 😋 it was very delicious. The gentlemen also set me up with some very delicious doughnuts which were filled and sinfully delicious and I ate every crumb ♥️ but that wasn't the only thing I walked out with 🤔 he also fixed me up with the most delicious homemade cheese bread 😱❤️😁😁

I was most thankful to this man because he seen how tired and hungry I was from driving all day.

I hate to have to write this but I am so disappointed in this place. I cannot recommend it. I had purchased two pies and a hot latte. First off the latte was luke warm at best but what really got me was that the pumkin pie I received not only looked awful but it literally was so gummy and dried out that I swear this thing was sitting out for weeks. I know it is somewhat my fault for trusting them in that they were giving me a fresh pie because I did not check it before they boxed it up, but come on I expect to buy a fresh pie especially for the price...
