Sacramento Mountains Museum in Cloudcroft — Attraction in Cloudcroft

I can only give 3 stars because I have not been able to gain access. Id prefer not to give any stars till they are actually open on a day I can get there. But... its hard to even tell if their open or closed. The sign said closed. But the front door was wide open. So I opened the screen door to hollar to anyone that might be able to grant me admission. No response. So... I left. I suppose I coukd have just walked in. But I appriciate that people actually took the time to create this because im TRYING to learn the history of the area. Its just difficult when everything is closed ...

Really cool museum! From the outside it looks like you'd be in and out in 30 minutes but if you're a history buff you can spend a few hours in there reading about all the cool history and checking out old artifacts. It'll give you a different perspective of Cloudcroft in a good way. Also, I didn't realize I was in there past closing time but Neila was so nice and even took the time to tell us about future events. Highly recommend...

For a small mountain town this is an awesome museum. In October they host the haunted museum on Friday and Saturday nights as well as Halloween night. It is several acres of awesome props and spooky buildings. All done up in Halloween fright. ...
